ROM 2-3...There is no commandment from God or His Son that has in effect changed the Sabbath, if so I would be following also, Acts 20 highlights the communion of the disciples at evening meal while Paul preached, which was his custom to do every day, but focuses on the power of the Holy Spirit in Paul, by bringing life back into the fellow that fell to his death, nothing more. I 'm sure a drunk driving down the road feels happy and secure to! But being led by emotion and not the truth is not of GOD. All the first century followers of Christ up until A.D.45-50 were totally Jewish, a little closer attention to the scriptures is proof of that. And as far as the Sabbath not being mentioned, in Acts 16, 17, and 18, it was common knowledge, it wasn t 't changed, just modified. Sunday observers are caught up in a sorcerer s enchantment of sorts demonic at its core, originating from Simon the Sorcerer, which is mentioned in Acts chapter 8, but historically founding the Roman Catholic Church that changed the Sabbath from the 7th to the 1st day, because it is in following Mithraism and the worship of the Sun. We all half to work out our own Salvation with trembling and fear, but I would rather side with GOD and His Son, and the Truth. AMEN!! "

Christians in the first century started out worshipping on Sunday. Acts 20:7. Jews practiced the Sabbath. I will follow the example set by the early Christians, not the Jews. Thanks and God bless you RNM. Another important part of worship that no one talks about is instrumental worship. Musical instruments were brought into worship in the 600 's. Many church leaders said it was wrong but it was done anyway. Luther spoke out against it. People did it anyway. I know God wants worshipped in spirit and truth. I feel happy and secure worshipping God on Sunday. The apostles were filled with the Holy Ghost. They would have spoke up in Acts about the 7 the day. They did not because Sunday was the Lord 's Day and The Day to worship.

ROM 2-31...Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest:...The whole of the reformation collapsed over this one key point the 7th day Sabbath, they got everything else right but that. Just like in todays world, the protestant church has it mostly right, except for that one key point, the 7th day Sabbath, I am not obsesses with this day, but I feel that it is a "grey " area. Even though I am convinced of it, the New Testament is filled with scriptures expounding the seriousness of being Obedient to GOD by keeping the Commandments, therefore it is for us to keep the 4th Commandment the 7th day, Holy to GOD, aside from all the rules that was nailed to HIS cross .. and to continue on with the truth of the scriptures in Malachi 3:6--I am the LORD, I change not. or Hebrews 13:8--Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and for ever. SO, what you are saying, GOD does change, and HE is a liar, according to your beliefs. I JOHN 2:4 HE THAT SAITH, I KNOW HIM, AND KEEPETH NOT HIS COMMMANDMENTS, IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM.... I do not go, belong, am affiliated, or have been indoctrinated into any church, just for the record! I know their are others like me, but its a small following:... MATT 7:14-Becuase strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Like I said Years ago, break out of the fog of delusion, repent, and worship GOD in truth. GOD IS IN COMMAND, PRAISE HIM, AMEN!!

When Constantine issued an edict in the fourth century for Christians to worship on Sunday, they had already been doing it for 300 years. The very first Christians worshipped on the Lord 's Day, Sunday. There are stories throughout the 2 millinieums of forced baptisms, persecutions, etc. It does not take away from the fact that the early Christians worshipped on Sunday. The purpose of the original 7th day worship was for the Jews to remember when God brought them out of Egypt certainly not for Christians today. Heaven forbid. Unless, you are Jewish of course.
  • Joni G on Romans 2 - 9 years ago
RNM, why are you not talking about the Love of God? Jesus is Lord of the sabbath, which means rest. RNM, your vitrolic statements don 't show the love of God. You are obsessed with the 7th day. Why? I am defending first century Christians, not any other church. You are defending a church belief, not the Bible. Isaiah is talking about the new heaven and new earth and worshipping God on the day of rest, not Saturday. Why do you resist the truth? I gave you scriptures about the first day of the week worship a month ago. We follow the first century Christians, not the Jews who worship on Saturday. God bless you RNM.
  • RNM ROM 2-29 on Romans 2 - 9 years ago
ROM 2-29...The scripture in HEB 4: 9-11 was talking about those very same people who refused to honor GOD 'S Holy 7th day Sabbath, you read it, typed it, but are blind to it. You are who the scripture is talking too! And yes there are people like in the days of the reformation Martin Luther, Tyndale, Wieass, Knox, all burned at the stake by the Roman catholic church, because they defied the roman order, but whether they will be in heaven one day, is God 's judgment, not yours to make. I would like to think they would be, but only God knows who He has turned a blind eye to. The reformers lived and died somewhere in the 15th century, around a thousand years after the rise of roman catholic church, during that time the Roman Catholic church changed the times and laws of GOD, and praised themselves for having power over GOD, No one has power over GOD the ones that think they do, their brains are ate up with worms. And REPROBATE, but never the less, the lies and deception are still alive and well, being promulgated by the people blindly following after the catholic and protestant orders. REPENT TURN TO GOD. AMEN!!

Sabbath means cessation, a time of rest. God wants us to rest in His finished work of Christ 's death on the cross for us and His resurrection, not argue over which day to worship. By the time Jesus taught in the streets of Galilee, the Jews had added to the law of the Sabbath, over 1000 different rules to follow. They couldn 't even save a drowning man that had accidentally fallen in a ditch. Jesus wants us to trust and obeylike little children. God wants to diligently pursue that rest. Rest in the finished work of Christ and grow in knowledge and truth. Not hurrying home to watch football after worship or worry if there will be room in the restaurant for our meal out. We go, go, go and go some more. God wants us to worship, adore Him. And rest in Him. " There remaineth therefore, a rest to the people of God. Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. " Hebrews 4:9,11. The Israelites could not enter the Promised Land because of their unbelief. There have been a lot of martyrs who died as Christians who did not worship on Saturday that will be in Heaven someday.

I just read your comment, from 7 3 14 4:27 pm about Obedience to the Law, you are the first so far, after reading numerous comments, that speaks, about keeping all 10 commandments that 's if your referring to the 4th commandment also, the true Sabbath of God. If this is what you are speaking of then, PRAISE GOD another that sees the truth. The people you talk to about the 7th day Sabbath observance are hell bound to disprove it, there is nothing you can say, or enough scriptures you can show them, So, one conclusion is: 2 Thessalonians 2: 10- And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11-And for this cause GOD shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. 12-That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. I hope this is not the case, and that some day they will be guided by the Holy Spirit to repent and acknowledge the truth about the 7th day Sabbath. Jesus said he did not come to destroy the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfill. Colossians-2:14-says Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. PRAISE GOD, HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN!!

We are all blessed with gifts. We just need to step out of ourselves and find them in charity. When we begin to open our eyes to those in need we begin to see other ways which we can help, or get others to help. This is a blessing that we can all share.

Rhonda Waltons romans ch 2 verse 11 You are Blessed, Stop and think about it. Paul was blessed and see the problems he had he was killed. We are blind to blessings some times. I know you will see it. Keep the Trust in Jesus Christ.

Addressing the comment from Rhonda. Who says that you are not blessed. We all make mistakes and our father knows who we are. Everyday should be a new day of opportunities that he has in store for us as we ask and seek what that is. I believe that everything is given at do time. Personal experience I have asked that same qustion, and the ones that I felt that they were getting the best, I found out that they go through hardship as well. I feel that we are all blessed and we don 't full see the opportunities that have been placed towards us and take advantage of what we do have. We forget very easily of where we came from, what we been through and where we are now. Most of the time our choose leads us in the wrong path, but even when that happens we have the another chance to make corrections to given if we ask for the help from our father. We are learning every day, going through life and experiencing good and bad changes. With all that being said what still remains the same through all of that is our father. I mean Jesus, GOD 's only begotten son that die on the cross for you and I sins and rose from the die after three days. Have faith and belive that your grow and your crops that he has for you is for you and will only be for you... I hope these words are encouraging to you for we need to be remind day after day. This includes myself as well.

Romans 2 speaks loud and clear about the importance of keeping Elohim 's law. The correct translation for the word law is Torah. The Messiah said himself that he did not come to destroy the Torah in Matthew Chap 24. The Messiah did not come to abolish the law which is falsely taught, Messiah died to save us from the penalty of our breaking the Law. Through grace he enables us to keep his law. We need to really study the word of Elohim in context. Remember the only Scriptures available at the time of Christ was the Tanach or Old Testament. So every time bible writers refer to Scripture they are referring to the Old Testament. Yehua Jesus was a Torah law observant Hebrew as was his apostles who kept the commandments of God. They kept all the feast days appointment dates between Elohim and man and they never once spoke against the law or suggested we should stop keeping it on the contrary Paul said God forbid at the very idea in Romans chapter 3 31. From Genesis to Revelation the Torah Law is upheld. By keeping it, it does not save us but it reveals our love for the Father. "If you live me keep my commandments ". There has been a misinterpretation of Paul 's writings being taught in the church 's and seminaries. I encourage every one to reread their bibles starting at the beginning. Prayerfully start with fresh eyes and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you and lead you into all truth.

God judgment includes all men and God will judge men without partiality, no favourism, God is just. We shall be judged individually, assessed own work not that of our neighbor. We need to reject any soft ideas we may have of God as someone we can play games with. He deserves the due respect of fear and obedience.
