No. the statue of liberty is a bunch of bricks, mortar, wood, cables, etc. The whore of Babylon is the spiritual representation of the dog eat dog society where everybody tries to gain more and more physical luxuries of life even if they have to run roughshod over others to get it. The more a person lusts after material wealth the more they are committing spiritual fornication with the whore of B.

Just my thoughts, We are living in perilous time I have never seen before, What part does President Trump play in the tribulation? It's seems like he has to have a strength, wisdom, and courage that could only come from God to endure all the people who hate him and ridicule him and his family. Why is the house of representative so evil and against him when he is a man of God?

O evil man, you speak of those who believe you, not GOD. As it is written, Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen

Contrary to the belief of some, these judgments have NOT happened yet but will occur during the future Great tribulation, the time of Jacob or Israel’s trouble after the Rapture ofmthe cnurch. The great tribulation is Daniel’s 70th week and is for God’s returning to deal with Israel and the unbelieving world. Those who think these things are already occurring are confused.

I think it means just what it says. Something will fall into the sea and rivers. The first interpretation to look for is literal and there s no reason not to take this literally. I suggest you go to got questions dot org and look up biblical hermeneutics since I can t post a link here.

Verse 8~Mountains can be used in the Bible to represent political powers and the issue of government has been a hot issue that has caused the "sea" of mankind to be stirred up.

"And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake." The commencement of the "Alarm of War" in heaven, about to sound in its perfection, is on account of all the innocent blood of the righteous witnesses of Jesus shed upon the earth. When that number is full, then the end!

I am so glad that Disciple has spoke out, to warn people to stay away from the Jehovah's Witnesses. Amen! and Amen!
  • A disciple on Revelation 8 - 7 years ago
Val Hawn; If I were you I'd get away from the Jehovah's Witnesses as fast as you can. They deny the Eternal Divinity of Christ, and follow the teachings of a man (Russel) who rewrote the Scriptures after his own ideas; very bad! Jesus said that He saw Satan as lightning fall from heaven, ( Luke 10:18); and that we should not go after those who say Christ has already come, ( Matthew 24:21-31).

Chapter 12:7-12 in Revelation is where Satan was cast to the earth. Happen at the MIDDLE of the seven yr tribulation. Verses 13-17 says Satan knows his time is short and goes after the Jewish people and the christians. Read verse 17 carefully. I believe the 1st seal is the beginning of the tribulation. Read the 5th seal, these are the dead christians going thru the tribulation. Chapter7 vr 9 r us

I am studying with the Jehova's witnesses and they say that chapter 8 reveals that Jesus became king in 1914. That is when war broke out in heaven and Jesus cast down satan to the earth. Can someone reveal this to?

Genesis 12:3; The covenant of God with Abraham is ours too when we walk in the same steps of our father Abraham. It is absolutely on account of us, and how the world and individuals think and believe and act toward us, that God either blesses them, or detests them. It is on account of our friendship and obedience and prayers, that the angels are sent forth to punish the world for their wickedness.

You claim that Rome became a Christian Empire, but Rome was never Christian, it was pagan before Constantine, during Constantine's time and is still pagan to this day. Nowhere in scripture is there any indication Rome became Christian. Please show me in scripture where Rome became a Christian Empire.

The biggest sign you'll see coming is when they make the WORD of God of no effect. They've already made His laws of none. Everyone is reaching across the gap to join hands with Rome in the ecumenical movement and they have no idea of the consequences and won't until they have to obey man's doctrines over God's . There's another movement here also that labels Bible believers as "haters". That's bad
  • Sakana on Revelation 8 - 7 years ago
Luke 11:29 Christ said no sign given to that particular evil generation. Reason being they wanted proof of the Messiah. What more proof is there than Christ Himself performing miracles and teaching? Their minds made up not to believe. If Christ couldn't convince them, a sign certainly wouldn't, as proven by the sign of Jonah. Israel on the map again is huge sign. Christ said, "watch!" Mark 13.

Signs:And there shall be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.Luke21:25-26.Strange looking clouds not so much. To Robin McGowan on Rev. 8 - Lk. 11:29 - there shall be no sign given it except the sign of Jonas the prophet. He was a 'type' of Jesus, i.e. 3 days in the belly of the whale; Jesus 3 days in the grave. Jonas preached to Nineveh, gentiles; Jesus gave salvation to the gentiles. Just remember: NO SIGN - except................

God have mercy on this world from the President down that they will realize what Christ has really given them thru his giving of his life for their sins and take heed to his warnings. If not god has no mercy on those who refuse to listen. His angels will heed his voice and obey to the fullness and destruction will come to earth as God demands. fire ,fire and death. Hell is for ever too.

Hi, Jesus was the only one who was able to break the seals. Study the seven churches carefully, compare it with the history of the Christian churches since Christ ascended. If you'll remember, it had a problem with which apostle was right or better or more listened to and Paul had to get on em as to why they were preaching- Jesus, the first love. My concern is the last one, self righteous us!
  • Michael C. on Revelation 8 - 8 years ago
Two things in the beginning of this chapter stand out. First, the seventh seal's half hour of silence; makes me think of the dividing of time, which Christ's coming marks. And second, how the burning coals from the golden altar of incense, under which the Martyrs await God's vengeance, and the prayers of the Saints, being cast into the earth, is the harbinger of the seven trumpets of the angels.
  • David on Revelation 8 - 9 years ago
Understanding how prophesy tend to be delivered to men throughout the Bible helps you to see the bigger picture about the Book of Revelation. The prophecy tends to be delivered several times using different imagery. The Book of Revelation has several groups of Seven. The first set of Seven seems to be for the churches around at the time of the author, but the 7 Seals, the 7 Trumpets and the 7 Bowls or vials are repeating the same series of events seen using different methods of focus. The 7 seals are 7 releases, the 7 Trumpets are 7 warnings and the 7 Bowls are 7 reaping's. So an angel breaks a seal, next an angel blows a trumpet which warns by way of a sign in the heavens and for those who do not head the warning, an angel administers a disaster. All of which is going to be aimed at getting the world and more specifically the Hebrew remnant to repent.
  • Kimberly on Revelation 8:3 - 9 years ago
My thought it that the Angel stood before the alter with a sensor that was full of praise and prayers from the saints in the earth that at are believing for miracles. The incense represented the prayers from the saints that were then poured out before the throne of God.
