Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputs not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
I have confessed my sins and have not withheld my iniquities before YOU; V5 "and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah."
All who are godly shall pray unto to YOU LORD, because YOU are our hiding place, and place of preservation. I am at peace and comfort because of the songs of deliverance that surround me as well as all who walk up rightly in YOUR presence.
Thank YOU for teaching and showing me YOUR way and where I should walk. I will not go about as a person who is obligated, or coerced; but I will walk in the love of YOUR wisdom and understanding.
Many are the sorrows of the wicked: but I will have YOUR mercy and peace all around me because I have learned to trust in YOU; Isaiah 26:3.
The righteous and upright in their heart will be glad in the LORD GOD, and rejoice, and shout for joy. For the joy of the LORD is my strength. Nehemiah 8:10
GOD bless and shine HIS face on all who are on this forum in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
The summary of the Psalm seems to be similar or perhaps is connected to the previous one; as we see a mention of aching bones in verse 3. I had already postulated as to the possible cause of these issues; and it seems in verse 5 that certain behaviors may have led to this condition (as well as the hand of God being heavy on David in verse 4).
Verse 6 discusses coming to the Lord while there is yet time; not say in the "great flood" which could be a past reference to what happened in the days of Noah or perhaps in the end times as well. Surely we need to be mindful of sin and approach Christ while there is yet day and we can work ( John 9:4 and similar admonitions). Verse 7 once again discusses a "hiding place" or place of refuge which could be deliverance through the trials in this life or from the wrath to come; or certain other things today.
We see an interesting change of wording in verse 8 which seems to carry to verse 9. The "I will instruct thee" clearly is God Himself talking; and it seems that verse 9 is very much like the book of James in the N.T. ( James 3:3). Verse 10 also is like other verses which state there is no peace for the wicked ( Isaiah 57:21).
We are told to "shout for joy" if indeed righteous. We are reminded of the Beatitudes where we are said to be "blessed' when persecuted and many say things against us for Christ's sake ( Matt. 5:11). It seems David spent much of his years patiently handling accusations; first from Saul and then from his own offspring; partially as the result of God's chastisement due to his own transgressions.
David miss the mark and God had hand heavy on him,and he realize he had to confess and he did and was set free so he said every Godly man that hearting should call upon the Lord. However he must have seen men did wickedness and never get punished.so he blessed his the man that God imputeth not .Glad there is spirit with out guil.and I think I have that spirit.
John 3:16 for God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believet in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1Pet. 5:7 casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. So therefore confessing yours sins and asking forgiveness he wants you to keep your eyes on the prize. Psm 32:2 Blessed is the man...
The comment submitted by Norma Coleman on Psalms 32:8 is outstanding. This helps me see how awe-embracing the Lord is concerning the destiny of his children. Ms. Norma Coleman, I thank you and the Lord for a very heart-felt revelation.
To Sawme on his comment on the word "Selah". This word has been used many times in Psalms starting in Psalm 3:2, 3:4, and 3:8. Why is it that you said the word Selah was not seen until Psalm 32? The meaning of the word is most likely referring to "pause". Hope this helps.

Teacher, Advocate, Helper. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus. The Greek word is: paracletos (one who comes alongside to Help)
The thing some people miss is that the Holy Spirit is always close by. Even tho he's a Spirit with no visible body...trust me, He is beside you. Talk to Him. Study with Him. Be aware of His presence.
It's hard, but don't grieve him or quench Him. He is God, the Holy Spirit. He loves you more than anyone else you've ever known.
Sing to Him and soon you will hear His song singing in your heart. Anything that hurts in you, will be healed.
Luke 4;18-19 ( Isaiah 61:1). Jesus speaking about the Spirit of the Lord.
Gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, that He imparts as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:31
One thing was hard for me to learn: walk beside the Holy Spirit, and don't run ahead of Him. :)
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord....
A LOT of wisdom is given in Proverbs. Also, David was a man after Gods own heart. It's good to study WHY.
Ed, you may get other opinions on this Psalm, but my impression is that it is David speaking throughout the Psalm & seems very likely that it is a sequel to Psalm 51, another penitential utterance. If you look at Ps 51, you will see a similar style (i.e. vv 1-12 showing David's pleas & confession, & then v 13 records that "then will I teach transgressors"). Likewise, in Ps 32, vv 1-7 shows the blessing of forgiveness & then v 8 (& this may follow a similar thought), "(only then) will I instruct thee & teach thee".
However, this interpretation is open-ended as one can only make an assumption from our standpoint. Yet, from portions from other Davidic Psalms, there is clear indication that they were Holy Spirit inspired so as to convey the Lord's Mind or Action to readers. So, to answer your question, I believe the whole Psalm is David's utterance (even in his giving of instruction after first confessing) but, as in all Scripture, the Psalm is inspired by the Spirit & therefore it is He Who speaks to us in our reading & meditation, applying it to our specific need.
It is said that the eyes are the window to your soul, then it also saids that the soul is the most inner parts of our being. That to me are the heart and the emotions. I believe God sees with, his heart, his Spirit. So when he says, " I will guide you with my eyes." He is guiding us with love, as a parent does for their children. You see God leads with his heart and that is what he is trying to get us to do. Let him lead us with his heart.
We all need to repent and ask the Lord to come in and save us from our sin. So Lord of there is sin in my life please come in and make me new in you .I have children out in sin so I ask you send your holy spirit to convict them of there sin in Jesus name!
Hi. Just as David acknowledged his sin before the Lord, one must do the same to be forgiven, I understand that one have to forgive in order to be forgiven, so many times one allows guilt to hold them back, but I believe if an individual forgive themself they would receive God's blessings.
Sawme: Actually, the word Selah first appears in this context in Psalm 3:4. There are multiple interpretations of what this word actually means. The most logical explanations in my opinion would seem to be that it either indicates a type of pause, or a term of deep affirmation. We see this word used a few times in Habakkuk as well. You shouldn't be sorry, it's a good question.
Its the start of the 2nd of five books called Psalms which are the best in my opinion. Music.
Now, regarding plasm 32, it is the first time the word Selah appears. Why? We know not Selah's origin or true meaning. And it always gets me doubting my original conclusion; that Selah meant Amen. Sorry.
Even though the comments from “A Disciple “ were written a year ago, I want to comment on them and say, “Well written”. The world thinks that God will allow everyone in but yes, God had conditions. He does desire a pure heart and no motives other than seeking to know Him and His Will for one’s life. Well done “A Disciple”!
v:5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and THOU forgaves't the iniquity of my sin. Selah. (... ain't GOD GOOD, WOW! WOW! WOW!)
Hello Al; Very nice to hear from you! I am delighted that you wish to have such a profitable and important discussion; and hope we can mutually benefit from this study of the Scriptures. As the Bible does not go into great detail about the exploits and times around Nimrod; yet the idols and nature of the Gentile Nations ever since, and its influence to harden men against Christ, pervades till now.
Hello Disciple, I presented a few comments on Rev. chapter 6 (White Horse verses) on 6/24/ 17. What is your biblically supported scriptures relating to the meaning of the White Horse, The Rider, the Bow, and going forth conquering and to conquer. Also, you understanding of

How can we obtain this Blessedness of transgression forgiven and sin covered? It all has to do with the LORD finding no guile in our spirit that He imputes not iniquity to us. As the eyes of the LORD run to and fro through the earth to find those whose hearts are perfect toward Him; thus we all make our daily accounting to Him in our course in life; both in our spiritual and earthly things.
"I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin." All the times we read about Jesus receiving and forgiving the sinner, we should recognize that there were certain conditions that were met by the one coming to the Lord, so that he was accepted. Not every place where the Sower sows!
"..and in whose spirit there is no guile:" [deceitful cunning: duplicity; stratagem, trick]. We may not come to God in the Name of JESUS, while in our hearts and minds; "full of the twists and defenses" of seeking to portray ourselves for something other than what we ARE REALLY; no man may presume to waltz into the Holy of Holies to take the Blessings of Peace unworthily; there are conditions!
God's written words are the instructions for all people; believe and receive the promise he has made; without faith and belief in his words; we have no hope in receiving his promise of eternal life.
