How privileged we are this morning to have one who is the lifter up of our head. Often I spend too much time on computer but I am greatly encouraged by comments here on Psalm 3 and go out today knowing that come what may we serve a great God. May all of Gods people know his strength today.
I have been fasting and praying for my husband to get saved. Yesterday he told me that he will be joining me this coming Monday for a prayer meeting. Glory be to God.
Very interesting yet powerful verse, on the surface it does talk about family issues and staying true to go even when those around you are opposing you.
However in the spiritual realm it seems to be talking about the rise of the anti-church. (David) being an O.T type of Jesus, and (Absalom) being a type of the Anti-Christ to come. The Anti-Christ Spirit comes out the Body of Christ, as the unholy perversion that it is. Even now so many people within our Body are becoming dead weight that needs to be shed off.
And since the weights off we only live off the diet given to us by our Great Lord God.
Verse number 3 has been a wonderful verse in this particular chapter. We sleep and wake up everyday, not by our own power, but by God's grace and is mercy. This a great miracle every believer should be thankful for.Dear Lord, you have been so good to me and my family.i appreciate you for everything you done for me
I read Psalms 3 and found when we have difficulties, we can extend our hand to the Lord, he is always there through our trails that we can depend on him.
This is a good bible verse to read; especially if you are going through a lot in the family, because it helps you with any and everything in times of sorrow.
It was only today, 11th February 2013, I put up this verse as my status on Facebook. Sitting tonight, I decided to go to the Psalms to read, and there I decided to read Psalms 3. Lo and behold, the said words I put up are before me. I honestly didn't know exactly where that portion came from when I put it up on Facebook. God is truly our shield, in times of difficulty, look to the Rock and Fortress, because he is our deliverer in times of trouble.
When we face challenges and persecution, we must learn to confide in, depend upon and run, as it were, into the strength of the Almighty God. This Psalms 3, points to the fact that in his says, the Psalmist went through all manner of trouble, and yet what he did was to look, unto the LORD. It is very encouraging to note that we can trust God, and find solace in His Word. And hence, when we agree with the Word of God and learn to permit Him, as the dwelling place and the habitation of our resolves, His protection becomes guaranteed. God is the refuge and strength of they that love and put their trust in Him. In fact, the fact that, as born again Christians, spirit filled, blessed and empowered of the LORD, through the grace of the Holy Writ, connotes that we should learn to trust God; no matter what the situation is, and also learn to speak our lives to protection, sanctification and purification.
Until you and I read this Psalm, and the other psalms that David wrote, it is possible to think that he did really pass through many difficulties. As a matter of fact, I cannot but bless the name of the LORD whenever I read, how he wrote his psalm- and there are situation that that seems, as he was weak. But please, remember, the Holy Spirit was not yet available as He is today, indwelling they that believe and love the LORD. The truth is that as Children of God, we are already blessed, empowered, fortified and strengthened through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. In fact we are the tool, weapon, and instrument of the LORD, on this planet. Therefore, no matter what the situation, we must not confide in the arm of the flesh, but on the strength of the Almighty God. The blessing of the LORD has been dispersed upon every Saint and every Christian; hence, the graciousness of God is upon you and I. And thus we can handle whatever comes through the Holy Spirit and the blood of the covenant.
At this time David was going through one of the most trying moments, being betrayed by a close friend'. He still holds on trusting that God is the Lifter of Our heads. This encourages me not to give up but to rise up above discouragement, especially from unexpected sources! AMEN.
I bless the lord for this part of the bible because it truly ministers to my life that there are many that rise up against us as believers, but don't be deterred the lord is the lifter of our life.
Believe!!! He will do what he say's he's going to do. Keep the Faith, Stand Strong in his word..Keep his Words coming out of your mouth and watch him Protect, lift up,Encourage,Bless you.U will see his manesfestation:)He's never Late:)
lifter of mine head, yeah that was a wonderful description of heads and spirits held high, by the Greatest! interesting reading in this format, however, I was looking for a bible to hold today in my house and well had to resort to on line version. sad but true sometimes in our busy world/lives, but praise be shown in all circumstances, for my lord is in control. will relocate The Word in my home and all my way to be lifted and directed by him.
I just read psalms 21 and the comments people made. One lady said she opened the Bible and read from what she opened and it was exactly what was going on in her life. I started reading from Psalms a few weeks ago in order from chapter 1. I pushed 2 but I gt 21. I read the Psalm n comments and went back to 3 so I was in order and it was exactly what was going on in my life! Times are hard and when your down and weak the devil will tempt you!! Stay true to his words and trust that God will help you! He sent his only son to die for all of us. So I say I'm going to try and live for Jesus Christ;my Lord and savior! Thank you God for caring for a sinner such as I!! Amen. Poraise God!!!!
One of the great names of our God is "the lifter up of mine head." What a glorious thing! (Why art thou cast down oh my soul?) Even the everlasting gates lift up their heads! The Christian may slumber, but he or she must not slouch or skulk about. Precisely because we remain humble before our Maker and Friend, we go out into the world with our shoulders back and our heads held high. In the face of all that is dismal and diabolical and destructive, we hold our heads high. We "lift up our eyes unto the hills..." Every true child of the Most High God must learn in the heart of hearts the difference between the worlds contrived "self-esteem" (read self worship) and the devout person's self-respect. Whatever your situation today, the LORD says to you, "Look unto me all ye ends of the earth, and be saved." It is in this constant and defiant act of looking unto the LORD that our heads our lifted up by him.
Testing time is the time to know those that really trust and believe what God is, represent and can do. It is a time those that knows God do increase their faith.
