i love this verse.i was a preacher of the word since long time ago and i enjoy reading this verse as a new verse dailly.LETS ALLOW GODF GOD TO RIVEAL HIS REVELATION AMONGST OUR LIVES.i realised that most of people we think as if we know this verse.please christians while we are reading lets read without our own atitude towards the word of god. THANKS God bless our world
As many times as I have read this verse I had never really noticed the surreal image of eating a feast in front of my enemies. Certainly the most wicked of all my enemies are my own thoughts, the things I say to myself about me. None of my enemies is more cruel to me than I am to myself. I have struggled with drug addiction, alcholism and mental health problems all my life God saved me from booze and drugs many years ago. But I continue to be my own "worst enemy" with my repetitive, recurring thoughts. God gives me the confidence to not only "face" my fearful, wicked thoughts but indeed to sit face to face with them at a banquet table and enjoy the feast God has prepared for me. He not only feeds me but delivers me, from my enemies, from myself.
I love this Psalms. It has seen me through a manay a days when I felt so all alone. I keep this Psalm in my heart and say verses from it daily. It has helped me get through some very trying times. I know that God is my shepherd, so I have nothing to fear!
I love this scripture! It says so much about who God is: He is my Caretaker, my Provider, my Peacemaker, my Restorer, my Guide, my Protector, my Comforter, and my Father! Thank you Lord!
The lord is my shepherd I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still water. He restores my soil.He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
The 'rod' maintains the rate or speed and it supervises the rules and regulations to the eternal life. The 'staff' removes the things which obstruct us from the eternal life. So we will not fear of the 'valley of the death'. But we are rejoicing with these, because the distance of the eternal life is closer than it appears.
David could easily relate to the Lord as Shepherd. David had been a shepherd himself. We know that the sheep of a good shepherd does not want for anything.
We have the Great Shepherd who walks with us, guides us in green pastures, and provides for all our needs. He anoints our head with oil, and prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. Then He walks with us in the valley, of the shadow of death, He restores our soul. Surely goodness, and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives. David then concludes, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. This is the prayer of every child of God, and that we would see the beauty of the Lord in the land of the living. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory over death, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We all must go through the valley of the shadow of death of this world, but it comforts me to know I shall live in the House of the Lord forever, because I choose the Lord, for He IS my shepherd!!!!
This Psalm is sublime and reminds me who I am and what shall I act in my human life. Follow the path to our Lord without taking in consideration people who tend to discourage persons with Christian sight.
am very happy because it has made me stronger ...i love it
