The Psalm 23 has shown to me that in spite of one's authority or position in this life, a total submission to our LORD is not only recommended but deemed essential. The psalmist has carefully selected the LORD as his shepherd, therefore, considered himself a sheep whose protection and even life depends totally on the shepherd. With that in mind he declared : "The LORD is my shepherd I shall..."
I can read Psalms 23 from monday 2 monday,January 2 December,cant av enough of those wonderful words. For sure the Lord is my shepherd.Am blessed daily.

I agree, something about the new American Catholic versions just doesn't cut it, it's like something's missing or left out. Restores peace to ones soul when recited in times of crisis, grief or turmoil......Thus endeth the Sermon. Amen.
Love this prayer gives one peace and strength when reciting it. I don't care for the new american version. Guess its because the original one feels right. When reading it before bed make for a safe and restful night. God be with all of us in all we do.
Psalm 23 is a constant reinder that believing and trusting God in my life, I will never lack. It gives me assurance that keeps me humble and refreshes my soul. Psalm 23 makes my heart smiles 😃.
This psalm is very powerful. It gives me a great sense of comfort to know our God is always there for us. Most importantly that he is there to reward us for eternity if we remain strong for him. Thank you God, you are such a great father!
This psalms really brings peace to my heart. I can rest asure knowing that God is in control no matter what I face in life. I feel truly blessed that I am a child of God.
