    Hi MED960102

Supplement your heavenly study of the Word of our GOD,the Word of Life, with this wonderful, heavenly portion of the Scriptures about the Rod of our GOD,as follows:

1And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.

3And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

4 And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

5 And it shall come to pass, THAT THE MAN'S ROD, WHOM I SHALL CHOOSE, SHALL BLOSSOM: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

6 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

7 And Moses laid up the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness.

8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

10 And the Lord said unto Moses,Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony,to be kept for a token against the rebels;and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

11 And Moses did so:as the Lord commanded him,so did he.

12 And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying,Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.

13 Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the Lord shall die: shall we be consumed with dying

    GOD BLESS

In studying this particular psalm, it seems that (perhaps) there may be a difference between "thy rod and thy staff," in that they represent two things. "Thy rod," may mean God's discipline, while "thy staff," may mean as Our Shepherd, eg. how and where he leads us when we follow his Divine Will.

Dorothy You shouldn't use any Bible except a King James Bible. There may be some on this site that will disagree with that but don't listen to them. The KJB is the True Preserved Word that God promised us in ( Ps 12:6-7) v6 Tells us The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified ((seven times)). (A time in the Bible is 7 years, so it was purified 7 years? The King James Bible took 7 years to finish its translation) Also we are told in ( Proverbs 30:5-6) Every Word of God is pure. And v6 says "Add thou not unto his words" We are told in ( Jeremiah 23:36) "ye have (perverted) the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God. The word (perverted) is #2015; it means to change. ALL modern version Bibles have changed the words of the living God. If God promised to Preserve His Words forever then we have it somewhere today or that verse would be a lie, God cannot lie! How did God get that promised Word to us today in the KJB? He used holy men of God in ( 2 Pet 1:19-21) The KJB has had the same words since 1611. Others versions have changed, and then some have even revised, or changed their own words again! ( 1 Cor 14:33) Tells us God is not the author of confusion. If 10 people read the same verse from 10 different modern versions, then you ask them to memorize that verse, would there be confusion among them, or would they all speak the same thing? ( 1 Cor 1:10) says that ye all speak the same thing, and there be no divisions among you. Would them 10 people speak the same thing? would there be divisions among them? ((Think about that.)) The word (pure) is #2889; it means uncontaminated, unadulterated, sound. Gods pure Words are in the KJB. Do not trust other Bibles they will be deceptive! This was pretty long but its really important to study the True Word of God. Blessings.

Robert, Welcome. Glad you found us.

Yes, you can ask questions anytime you wish. We all try to help as we feel led and we hope that those asking questions will get an edifying and informative response based on biblical truth.

Welcome Robert. Many of us come on this great website daily or regularly to do this very thing. We're itching to share our understanding of God's Word to those who have genuine, pressing questions on their hearts; because the Word is precious to us & uppermost in our thoughts & meditations.

But with all matters centered on the Bible, we would expect that the enquirer would be in prayer about it & diligently search the Scriptures for themselves even after receiving our responses to you. It is ultimately God's Holy Spirit that has to make His Word real & meaningful to your heart & life. Blessings.

I would encourage you to knee down and repent your sins before the lord, the sins of jealously the sins of anger and ask God to show you any hidden sins in your life and repent anything he will show you

I want you to understand the wicked have no rest because they have unrepeated sins hence they try all they can to find rest

and ask God to remove this spirit of anger in your heart.

    as it is written

    Isaiah 57:20

20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

    Read this word

    Psalms 18:6

In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

    Pray for an

    Ezekiel 36:26

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

every man, woman& i personally believe some animals are born with emotions, or what we humans call feelings happiness,loneliness,sadness,love,etc.etc. these are gifts of God, the Lord has them and we have them. its only the knowledge of good&evil in us all as imperfect humans and do apply it to a perfect gift that we ourselves create a sinful result. when we are mad and apply humanism to it we are mad then angry then RAGE that's a sin, sadness to depression, like someone, love them then LUST after them is a sin that we create. you can just about apply every natural emotion with a unnatural feeling that we take to the extreme
  • Adam - In Reply on Psalms 23 - 2 years ago
Hi Lat, my perspective is that what God created is good, but we have a choice in how we use God's gifts for good or for evil. Emotions aren't inherantly bad. Jesus expressed anger for example and that wasn't bad. If someone hurt one of my family members I would be ok with being angry for a period of time, but what actions people may take as a result of their feeling can be good or evil. Anger is not the same as hurting someone, for example. Those are 2 separate things.

People always have a moral decision to make and we always have a way to escape sin. Also people have more control of their emotions than what most people admit. People even have totally opposite emotions for the exact same circumstances. For example, someone may get a flat tire and be furious, but someone else may not care and be happy and content. For example if you were just married you would probably let it slide. If you just got a promotion or just won the lottery right before getting a flat tire I doubt you'd choose to have too negative of emotions over it. I don't know if this is common knowlege or not, but I'm surprised how many people I observe who assume they have no control over it as if they are a victim of their emotions that they themselves choose to have. God bless.
  • Lat on Psalms 23 - 2 years ago
Why does God give us emotions and then not want us to use them?? I'm having angry issues and trouble with jealousy! Not as bad as I use to but still there!

    Psalm 23

Probably the best known and most quoted Psalm at funerals; the theme is representative of both rest for God's people the first 3 verses could be a general sentiment on resting in the Lord.

For the Lord to be our shepherd; of course He has to be the Chief Shepherd over our lives. ( 1 Peter 2:25). The fourth verse could be applied; of course to the Messiah Himself once He died but He had to suffer the unique anguish of being separated from God as it pleased Him to crush Christ ( Isaiah 53:10). We need to consider our High Priest who suffered such things for our sake. ( Heb. 4:14-16).

Verse 5 is probably the most overlooked portion about preparing a table in the presence of "my enemies". This certainly could represent Christ when He returns; but also David himself once he comes back to rule and reign with Christ ( Jeremiah 30:9 and other references). We shall rule and reign with Christ as well ( Rev. 2:26-27 but also other passages). This is the heritage of the saints. These things should not bring us a mindset of arrogance and pride; but should serve as a warning to the unregenerate who hopefully will be convicted of sin while there is yet time to repent (see Matt. 21:24).

Goodness and mercy are promised in this life despite the trials of life. The eternal dwellingplace of all the saints is also a promise and something worth meditating over.

Understand, Satan is so powerful that he convinced 1/3 of all the angels that were present when the foundations of the

earth were laid, that he could take God. We, are, according to scripture, "currently" lower than the angels. You think there is something you can say or do to "restrain Satan" or "rebuke" him. As a matter of fact, Jude 1:8-16.

Even other angels, greater, by far, than any living human, won't lay a single accusation at the feet of Satan. Instead they say, "The Lord God rebuke you." " I rebuke you..." Is going where no angel will ever go. They're not stupid. Daring to rebuke Satan is like daring to stand in front of a freight train and yelling stop I command you in the name of Fred my janitor."

The format isn't stop in the name of the law/Lord either. Its, Lord, please build a hedge around us and protect us from the damage of Satan, fallen angels and demons. Let your influence reign in our lives and the lives of those we seek to influence for your kingdom.

Remove the word "I" from all of it. Even in "The name of the Lord." Be smart. Don't revile angelic majestic, even in His name. Ask God to do it directly and be done. I, personally, do fear to go where Arc Angels, the most powerful angels of all, fear to tread. Ask God to do it and be done. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.

If taking all I am, all I gave, all I love and care for brings you glory Lord, have at it. I live for you. Job... It's about Him being glorified. None of this is about me.

    Casting out demons,

Jesus gave instruction, I'm not aware of scripture in the Psalms specified for that. But David who is accredited as author of many of the Psalms written in the Bible, was able to have an evil spirit leave Saul, by playing music. 1Samuel 16, however this seems different, because note: 1Samuel 16:14, 1Samuel 15, note 1Samuel 15:23,

    Please read & study these:

    Mark 1:34,39, Mark 3:14-15, Matthew 12:28, Luke 11:20, Mark 16:9, Matthew 8:16, Luke 4:14, Luke 8:2, Matthew 28:18-20,

    Jude 1:2-10, note: Jude 1:9, Acts 19:13-17, Matthew 12:39-45, Luke 11:14-26,

    Mark 6:7-13, Luke 9:49-50,

    Matthew 10:8, Mark 16:17,

    Matthew 17:14-21, Mark 9:17-29,

    James 1:2-7, Luke 11:1-13,

    Hopefully these are all helpful

Dear Bro Dan , may God bless you , I always enjoy your posts too . What is the Kingdom of Heaven / the Kingdom of God ? There are very many verses that pertain to it , I'm on my way out the door so I only have time for one : Acts Ch 3 V 29+30 . Where was David's throne ? I'm so sorry I don't have time now but I promise I shall do better in about 12 hours smiley face , watch this space , much love in Christ .

    Brother Alex:

I believe both you and Suze are right.

At Christ Resurrection, David received the promise of immortal life, he has become the SEED, now he is planting SEED as is Christ.

David the SEED has no need of a PLACE called (literal) HEAVEN, man doctrine.

Isaiah 6:13 But yet in it (the land, earth) shall be a tenth, and it (the tenth, the offering to the Lord in righteousness) shall return (first resurrection), and shall be eaten: as a teil tree and as an oak, whose substance IS IN THEM, when they cast their leaves, the HOLY SEED shall be the substance thereof.

Revelation 22:2 ....and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Do we agree that the OLD SAINTS were raised with Christ, let me know if we don't, and we will look to the scriptures for the answer.

    God Bless YOU!

    Sister Suze:

Revelation 8:9 And the THIRD PART of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the THIRD PART of the SHIPS were destroyed.

Psalms 104:26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, which thou hast made to play therein.

Isaiah 27:1 In that the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword (the word of God) shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan, that crooked serpent, and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Revelation 13:10 And he that leadeth into captivity, shall go into captivity, and he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword.

Revelation 20:4 .....and the souls (mines of flesh) that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus .....

Suze... I love ya but let me give ya my feelings on Acts 2 : 29....Peter is not saying that David is not going to Heaven...Peter was just trying to tell all those folks that David was not the one who David was prophesing about....Peter was trying to tell them that the Prophesy of DAVID'S soul not left in Hell is just prophetic that its Christ's soul that was not left in hell etc,...Its Christs soul that wd not see corruption....Not DAVID ...In fact most of all Davids Prophesies were really about Christ....That special Son that was to come out of Davids loins was really prophetic about the H.G. that Child of Promise that wd come out of Christ loins...his seed etc..His breath etc...Christ's words are his seeds etc..

.....David that great man of God will be in Heaven but he is not that great king that will rule over the house of Israel forever...As David had prophesed about as being himself....The bible just uses DAVID as symbolic language for Christ that great King that will reign over the house of Israel forever....But there is an element of truth in DAVIDS Prophesy....THere was a great king that came out of DAVIDS LOINS which was Solomon that was to reign in Jerusalem forever...But its the H.G. the Comforter the Child of PROMISE that is gonna come outta of Christ loins (his seed ) that is gonna rule in NEW JERUSALEM The kingdom in our hearts for ever.

.....Thats what Peter was trying to tell them in Acts 2 : 29 ...David was just prophetic of Christ and Solomon was just prophetic of the H.G. that is gona build that great temple in our hearts...As our bodies are the temple of the H.G..Abide in me and i in you....Thats y Jesus said a greater then Solomon is Here..

.....An external kingdom wd be no threat to Satan...It has to be internal, simply b/c our warfare is in internal....His enemy is our carnal minds thus the kingdom has to be with in us....In order for God to make his enemy (our carnal minds ) his footstool.. 1ST COR 6: 19 Your body is the temple OF H.G.

    Dear Sister Suze,

Always enjoy your posts, and I hope you don't mind me offing some clarification here regarding scripture that specifically states that we can enter into Heaven, the same Kingdom of Heaven where Jesus/God reside.

Jesus tells us below that if we do God's will, we can enter into the "Kingdom of Heaven."

    Matthew 7:21

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

So yes, we should be striving for this reward!

    God Bless.

Daniel 2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of a mountain made without hands ....

Hebrews 12:22 But you are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, and unto a company of innumerable angels.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
