COnclusion (for real this time) on committees. My point is in conclusion is that pastors may not know these things. My pastor actually agreed with me about a group invited to one of his social events. The communication was bad with the music director. Since then it has been better venues. He wasn't aware as well about certain music and groups that legally are supposed to get a cut due to copyright issues when their songs are played. He didn't seem to think so; but I know that if the music ever is recorded that would be an issue. The theological impact of the verbage of music also has to be evaluated.
I would suppose that preachers known to be errant could come up (again I am supposing the leadership is unaware of something that a layperson may be informed of). There are times to say "nay" in voting; that's my main point here.
Church committees (cont). It should be stated from the previous post that often church members aren't asking about some of the issues which come up for public vote. One example I have seen is congregational meetings on procuring monies for a new facility as opposed to remaining in the current one. I have seen firsthand how the wisdom of a licensed contractor with many years of experience was ruled out with everyone supporting the Pastor on purchasing a church facility needing much work which originally was to be about 100,000 dollars work of which most was already available in the church budget. Instead of being willing to pay for things being fixed properly the church all worked with a plan to bring in missionaries; and for people to pitch in on projects; as well as having one of the elders who had some industrial construction experience be the one in charge. In short; largely due to the foundation issues inside with the gully and overwash in the driveway outside today they are estimating it will be 400,000 dollars to put into it. I had earlier voiced concerns over spending about a thousand a month more than the place we were sharing with another church for a more convenient space at an earlier time as well. In any case; it appears God is continuing to expand membership so they may eventually be in the black; but it is a risky thing especially when there was such a surplus a few years back that could have been spent on missions.

If laypersons would follow Biblical guidelines when a brother sins against them and that includes those in leadership as well being held to the same accountability; we surely would see less decay today.

Please pray. We miraculously fell pregnant thanks to IVF but had a miscarriage at under 10 weeks the other week. Devastated but trust god. My workplace had been bullying me and disclosed pregnancy and IVF however. Prayer that I forgive all and help my husband and I heal and move forward and have another miracle. Believing my uterus is healed and fruitful. We are not doing IVF again as we trust god as Sarah did and many examples in the bible. AMEN.
Prayers for a situation at work.The situation is years old. Where someone claims they were hurt. I did. EVERYTHING to let them know my equipment was there. They did not listen and proceeded anyway. Prayers the situation dont cost me my job. I just had heart surgery and need my job. As i am my only means of financial support. My husband died 10 yrs ago.

Addiction has a unrelenting grip on Kathryn. Prayers aren't getting through. If Christ does not intervene, she will be lost for eternity. Forgiveness is asked for, intervention is asked for, yet only more dispare, and increased slavery. Prayer isn't always answered in our time frame, but I fail to understand the delay when the race to the bottom has picked up tremendous speed. This is from a precious women who got saved a year ago, goes to a wonderful church, reads the Bible hours at a time, hates the addiction, and pleads for victory. All of a sudden a switch flips, and off she goes. Christ needs to eliminate that switch. Certainly God can take a multi year addiction away. Thank you for your prayers!!

please pray for my daughter Meggan 39 years old and six months pregnant who has been miss using and abusing Adderall and marijuana throughout her pregnancy. I pray for complete protection physically and neurologically for her unborn child.
