It means that each day, we have enough to handle without taking on the problems of tomorrow or some other day. Therefore, we should live in the day we are in, because we cannot live in tomorrow until it gets here.
While we are called to be followers of Christ, We will find that the world does not except this value of faith toward God.Is it possible to have joy and happiness and be a christian in the strictest sense?I believe that God wants all people to experience the joy found in life and the love we share with one another. It has been my experience that when we live outside the faith, time of temptation and sorrow manifest itself, and will dominate and move us further away from His love! Are we looking somewhere else for happiness or do we worry about things we have no control over! When we examine Christs life, we will see a love that passes understanding! His love for his Father, and the joy he experienced when He did the will of His Father, even the power to heal Gods children! We to can experience this same love when we worship the savior!I personally would find no greater joy than to heal someone or give someone hope.Mans nature is contrary to God, and is evil from the beginning. This is why we need to abide in Christ, being led by His Holy Spirit. For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
Matthew 6:34 says to take no thought about tomorrow. There is a word used throughout the New Testament that has to do with our minds being distracted. It is the word MERIMNAO, and it has to do with the occupation of the attention of our minds. It can be anything, our jobs, our family, hobbies, or anything in our daily lives that keep our minds occupied and away from the things of the Lord.
Jesus says don't even worry about it. Don't worry about tomorrow. Let tomorrow take care of itself. Where is our focus right now? And then He says "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
What this is basically telling us is that we have enough to be concerned with today, the normal ordinary stresses of life. We're not to be concerned about tomorrow. Only the Lord knows what will come tomorrow, so why should we be worried about it. Besides, worrying about tomorrow does us no good at all. We are to place our complete trust in Christ, and trust that He will work out those future things that we are incapable of knowing. So, sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof simple means to just focus on the hardships of the present day and trust that Christ will not only work those things out but also the things of tomorrow.
Victor, what this means is that a person cannot server both God and mammon. It is not wrong to make money but when you wan to serve money, and it becomes your master then you cannot serve God also.
Jesus says in Matthew 6:2, Verily I say unto you, "They have their reward." Matthew 6:1-4 talks about doing righteousness before men to be seen of men. Jesus said in Verse 1, "Take heed," which literally means pay attention. Pay attention that you do not your alms, and the Greek word for alms is acts of mercy. And then it says "before men." You see, it is external to be seen of them. It goes on to say "Otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven."
So Jesus says to pay attention and don't do your righteousness so that people can see you. It is not for external show! This is for your God who lives inside of you. He is inside, and you don't need to show anybody out here if you are worshiping the Lord or you are doing something under the inspiration of His Spirit. You don't need to have people see you, because it is for Him, and it is from Him. He says if you do, there is no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
When we are led by God's Spirit to do something good, we should not seek for recognition from men. If we do, and we are rewarded here on this earth, we will not receive a reward for it later. This does not mean that if someone thanks you for doing something good for them that you will lose your reward later. It's the motive behind it. Did you do something good to be seen of men and seek for recognition from men? If that is your motive, Jesus says your Father in heaven will not reward you later.
Greetings Victor, there are two types of rewards. one for the righteous and another for the unrighteous.
2 Peter 2:13 And shall receive the REWARD reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
Writing of Judas Acts 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. (his pieces of silver for betraying Christ)
2 Timothy 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
This is not a good reward.
Then there are the rewards for the just in faith.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Jesus speaks in Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
thank you for your reply and your answer is correct, but it took me a little less time to remember and read it again. I am getting old so it take longer to remember. The exact date of Gregory's birth is uncertain, but is usually estimated to be around the year 540, in the city of Rome. His parents named him Gregorius, which according to lfric of Abingdon in An Homily on the Birth-Day of S. Byblos appears as Kebny () in Egyptian hieroglyphic records going back to the 4th-
dynasty pharaoh Sneferu (fl. 2600 BC)[6] and as Gubla () in the Akkadian cuneiform Amarna letters to the 18th-dynasty pharaohs Amenhotep III and IV. In the 1st millennium BC, its name appeared in Phoenician and Punic inscriptions as Gebal (, gbl); in the Hebrew Bible as Geval (); and in Syriac as gbl(). The name seems to derive from gb (, "well") and l (, "god"), the latter a word that could variously refer to any of the Canaanite gods or to their leader in particular. The name thus seems to have meant the "Well" or "Source of the God".
Its present Arabic name Jibayl () or Jbeil ( [bejl]) is a direct descendant of these earlier names, although apparently modified by a misunderstanding of the name as the triliteral root gbl or jbl, meaning "mountain". During the Crusades, this name appeared in European records as Gibelet and Giblet. This name was used for Byblos Castle and its associated lordship. The Phoenician city, known to the Greeks as Bblos () and to the Romans as Byblus, was important for their import of papyrus from Egypt. The English word "Bible", ultimately deriving from the Greek words bblos () and biblon(),

Iris is a genus of 260-300 species of flowering plants with showy flowers. It takes its name from
the Greek word for a rainbow, which is also the name for the Greek goddess of the rainbow, Iris. Some authors state that the name refers to the wide variety of flower colors found among the many
species. As well as being the scientific name, iris is also widely used as a common name for
all Iris species, as well as some belonging to other closely related genera. A common name for some species is 'flags', while the plants of the subgenus Scorpiris are widely known as 'junos', particularly

This idea is actually based on a Midrash on the pasuk, "She will dwell there as in the days of her youth, and as on the day of her ascent from the land of Egypt." (Hoshea 2:17).
1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:
2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.
3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
7 Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
The day-year principle, year-day principle or year-for-a-day principle is a method of interpretation of Bible prophecy in which the word day in prophecy is considered to be symbolic of a year of actual time. It is used principally by the historicist school of prophetic interpretation.
It is held by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, some Pentecostals and the Christadelphians. The day-year principle is also used by the Baha'i Faith, as well as in astrological prediction techniques, otherwise known as "primary directions

It is held by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, some Pentecostals and the Christadelphians. The day-year principle is also used by the Baha'i Faith, as well as in astrological prediction techniques, otherwise known as "primary directions
