well i think when one sinner comes to repent that all heaven rejoys and GOD is so good to us. that HE forgives us from every thing that we did in the past.and HE is a great King
Who is the prodigal son who wasted all his living by taking his inheritance before it was due him but the gentiles. The elder son was the Hebrews, for he followed his fathers commandments always and was in the house and things of his father was his. When the prodigal son begged his father(or repented) he was accepted and the father rejoised for his lost sheep, who having experienced the desolation of the world realized his mistake.
God is our heavenly dad so we should not fear to return back to him if we mess in our spiritual line as the prodigal son was received by his father God will also receive us He is our father who sitteth in sit of mercy.
Two sons, one righteous and the other unrighteous. At first it looks as if the son that left and went into a far country was the unrighteous one but he came back to the Father. It was the other one that was filled with jealousy, hate and envy that was the unrighteous one.
This is my first time reading the scriptures on line . I started with Mathew, and now that I am oin acts I long to be reading the gospel again. What a privilage, and a thrill to be so involved in his very life that we are almost present.
WE ALL HAVE SIN AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.WHAT I LIKE ABOUT ST.LUKE IS THAT SOMETIMES WE THAT WE ARE BIG THAN GOD. GOD IS OUR EVERYTHING TO US.WHEN WE MAKE MISTAKES. DON'T BE AFRAID TO TELL GOD ABOUT IT. HE THE ONLY ONE CAN FIX.
There is more joy inheaven when one sinner repents. Our loving Lord calls us back and calls us to repentence to know our true path and happiness. Great Thanks to our Father in Heaven and Jesus who died for our sins to make this happen for our sakes. Thank you for sharing
According to my understanding the brother never tought that he will come back to the family because he took his share from his father. The 1 who was at home believed that because he looked after his father and the live stock he will receive more blessings from his Father.
