Luke 15 involves an initial encounter with the Pharisees; who are chiding Christ for hanging out with sinners. Thus the Parables in this chapter certainly are meant for them to hear along with the crowds.

What is often missed here is that BOTH sons had their inheritance divided at that time; and it was likely as tradition held the older son would have the largest sum. Something else I noticed here as well that is often overlooked is that the youngest son spent all of his inheritance. Thus; forgiveness was complete but nonetheless we see the concept of loss of reward.
To avoid not seeing the big picture here; it was clear that the Pharisees had no love for seeing someone repent and finding any joy in it; whether among themselves or the Gentiles. Their concept of God no doubt affected their lifestyle and dogmas; adding hundreds more laws to the Old Testament Canon through their own thoughts and imaginations (which resulted in the Talmud and other extrabiblical uninspired and mystical texts and traditions of men). With this attitude no one sees the need to repent in order to be ABLE to obey the law; at least in regard to the thoughts and intentions of the heart whereby men had to EXCEED the righteousness of the Pharisees and scribes in order to be saved ( Matthew 5:20). What was missing was understanding the nature and character of God and basically worshipping the law itself rather than it's creator. We can only truly love the law if saved.
Grace is the love of God toward mankind! We have been redeemed by the precious blood of the lamb. Even so, you and I are justified by faith. We must have faith ! I saw a picture of the sheep that was lost and his wool had grown to 70 pounds! He was lost for a while! After he was shaved, He had new life. A new beginning if you will! Not unlike the parodical son, or the lost sheep!
We will fail, we will fall, but we must get up and do it all over again! This is His will that we might know the forgiveness in the shed blood of the savior! Cleansed always in the sight of the Father!!!
Many times when reading Paul's letters I imagine that His words not only apply to the immediate church, but to the world. Could it be said that Christ died for the whole world, and we could than assume the world is as a church, with smaller church's and nations within it? He became man being born thru a woman thus him awakening into a flesh body called man , ln this body he laughed , cried , eat , drank , suffered , rejoiced the same as we do . You could pinch him or tickle him and he felt it same as we do . He could hit his finger with a hammer close a door on his fingers and shout out OUCH . My point is when he faced crucitfition he was the same as being in our bodies . Here is something to think about! Your heavenly Father, knows the very number of hairs on your head! His omniscience, His glory are comprehensible enough to say "My Lord and my God". These are Peters words when Jesus asked him, "who do men say that I am". Peter and John in their epistles, warn us of those that deny the Christ. That these false doctrines will even come out of the church, "the doctrine of anti-Christ". Even during their time , they confronted the same unbelief and false doctrines that we see today. The holy spirit moves Peter to use the word"divine power". John is moved and uses "In the light". The word is indeed of no private interpretation! Gods word is eternal and everlasting. I hadn't seen a dear aunty of mine for a long time due to being abroad. She was an older sister of my mother and was actually more of a good mother to me. She was suffering for a long time, but no closely related relatives told me when there was time because they're narcissistic. I found out very late about it when I phoned relatives overseas, but she was asleep. It was just before she passed away. So it was the most distressing grief I've ever been overwhelmed by
So, I cried to the Father God and told him how I missed her so much and never got the chance to say goodbye. Then when I was out walking on a sunny day, some time within 15 days of her passing, I suddenly sensed the presence of an angel who told me in the spirit that someone wants to speak to me! I'm glad I was given that bit of preparation, or else I would've closed up out of fear. A minute later, her spirit &soul appeared, asking me questions that she would've asked, but never got the chance before. I answered her questions while they walked with me. This lasted about 10 mins. Then 2 days later, they came back for a final brief visit, in my home, so she could see my lifestyle & for me to explain my circumstances to her
So it's possible but rare& only if God allows it for a brief time window (up to 15 days, maybe 30, of the death of a saved soul, escorted by an angel). I didn't ask for that, but u may

Who determined that His conditions and requirements for the church should change during the time he tells us to wait on His return. We must each one decide this in the light of the Scriptures & what our intentions are for wearing them. Some Fellowships ban or strongly advocate against wearing of jewellery, yet some of those same women will present themselves quite differently outside the 'Christian circle'. We have to be convinced in our own hearts about this matter, maybe done for the enhancing our appearance without appearing ostentatious & taking away from a woman's inner beauty.
