God loves everyone? What about Psalms 11:5? "The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth." And Malachi 1:2-4; "..I loved Jacob, and I hated Esau.." God first loved us, and sent His only begotten Son into the world to die for us to save us from our sins. He is good, kind, and patient, even toward His enemies; but for His love they are His adversaries.

So then; what is it that makes one worthy of entering the kingdom of God, while many others will be rejected, disowned, and turned away to weeping and gnashing of teeth? What makes one man wise, and another man stupid; since both were hearers of the Word, and building a house they hoped would shelter them fro the coming storm? Its because of "DOING" WHAT THE LORD SAYS, that we are able to overcome!

V36, All we have to do is Believe, there's Nothing we can do to earn Salvation.
If we Believe we have Everlasting Life.
    What a wonderful promise.

V16, God loves everyone, He sent his only Son into the world to die for us All.
We are all sinners and the Lord wants to save us All.
We have an Perfect, Holy and Loving God.
We can all have Everlasting Life if we Believe.

V2, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
John 1:5 . Nicodemus is a chief Pharisee seeking the Son of man, King to be crowned as ruler of the world. Nicodemus could not understand earthly things, that Jesus is not a king that gains power on a battlefield. He also can not understand spiritual things, that the powers Jesus has are from God because he is Gods Son.
  • Insight777 on John 3 - 7 years ago
People assume Nicodemus was born again and converted. Nicodemus was a seeker of truth but it does not say he stopped being a Pharisee. V12 Jesus is saying no matter what I say, you are not going to understand. Nicodemus was seeking the Jewish Christ, son of Abraham and because of Miracles he thought Jesus might be the Jewish king that would rule the world. He does not think Jesus is Son of God.

This is a most-instructive chapter which ends in verse 36 as "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." We have a choice- believe on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and have everlasting life or disbelieve and end up in perdition. For me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

"Jesus answered and said to him, You are the teacher of Israel, and these things know not? Verily, verily I say to you, That which we know we speak, and that which we have seen we bear witness of; and you receive not our witness!" If God sees and knows the innermost parts in us, and tells them to us; it must also be, that we too who are having those innermost thoughts must acknowledge them indeed.

Jn. 3:30 - We understand that most children are afraid of the dark. The real tragedy is when men are afraid of the LIGHT.

Hello, I am curious about the symbol in verse 16... have always taken it to stand for "the" as in the KJV STANDARD, but PREFER more clarity. For me... this verse STANDS as the HEART of MY being.

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not,how shall ye believe,if I tell you of heavenly things?verse 12 of this chapter, since many cannot physically SEE our lord and HEAR, they have a hard time believing,so I ask of thee how will you hear what so many are trying to say,if so many need a Flesh like being and even then given it,they still not believe, then how can they be of service2you.

vs. 14 - 15; the brazen serpent; in order for it to heal them of the snake bites (sin) they had to have FAITH; just as looking to Jesus sacrifice on the cross we have to have faith that it will remit our sins. The whole O.T. has it's counterpart in the N.T. It all works together; it doesn't 'counterdict' itself. To 'believe' is to have faith; to have faith is to believe. It's so simple.

In oder to walk with GOD you got to be delivered from 2 things #1 is self because GOD don't have control if you're in the way #2 is people because they are what the devil uses to keep you distracted from getting to where you need to be in Jesus Summit yourself totally in CHRIST be OBEDIENT and you must ask for HUMBLENESS and ALWAYS FOLLOW THE WORD

Since we know that 2 Peter 3 speaks of the world that was and actually it was an earth age before that perished and we know that at the end of the destruction in Jer. 4 vs 27 that earth wasn't destroy to a full end and Peter himself tells us that this world meaning the earth age we are in was reserved for the judgement of ungodly men. Anyway born again is 509 meaning born from above. We came here.

Hi Bruce! Yes, I know there are 66 bks.; it was rather late when I wrote that. And the 'table'; the Lord doesn't put ANYTHING into His word that is - superfluous. God doesn't does not waste words, such as novels.

Dave:--- And they that were crucified with Him reviled Him. Mark 15:32/ the thief on the cross has a repentant heart,he knows Christ is innocent and believes, his mind and heart is unshackled: and he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou cometh into Thy Kingdom. Luke 23:42. You say a changed mine falls under works. How will you be saved?
  • Bruce on John 3 - 7 years ago
Irene:Today's King James Bible has 66 Books.

John (on 'John') - You can't serve God by just the book of John. All 69 bks. of the Bible are God's Word. How old are you?

    Read Titus 3:5

1st birth -born of water - Natural birth thru woman(flesh), 2nd birth- V. 7-8, Born Again-in the Spirit- Believers, When the wind bloweth, Something in your heart start to give way when you hear about Jesus. It's dealing with you and you don't know where is coming from, it moves you, and it takes you..till you believe(When you come to Christ). Every Believer goes thru this.
  • Wayne on John 3 - 7 years ago
Matt. 4:17, Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
  • David on John 3 - 7 years ago
The thief on the cross simply believed upon Jesus. He spoke of no repentance as that means too have a change of mind and falls under works. Nowhere in the book of John does the word repentance appear, Nor does repent of one's sins. This fallacy has been added by man and adopted by most religions. Cannot add words to the Bible to fit whatever man's religious self righteous false Gospel dictates.

"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, WE speak that WE do know, and testify that WE have seen; and ye receive not OUR witness...For he whom God hath sent speaks the words of God: for God gives not the Spirit by measure." We also read; "...and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God." Things too high for us put us in our place! But the heathen rages!
  • Wayne on John 3 - 7 years ago
Read I Corinthians 14:19 for clarification. God Bless.
  • Wayne on John 3 - 7 years ago
Speaking in a tongue is a sign to unbelievers, not believers, as stated in Bible. Better to speak 5 words to edify believers than to speak in tongue not understood.
  • Wayne on John 3 - 7 years ago
Jesus " very words" say to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
  • Irene123 on John 3 - 7 years ago
Rom. 3:8 - we need to be very careful about what the Bible says; Mk. 16:17 are Jesus VERY words, and Rom. 8:9 confirms those words, as does Acts 2:4; !0:46; 19:6.
