"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkest whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee whither thou wouldest not." ( John 21:18)
Karl von Clausewitz said, "During an operation, decisions have usually to be make at once; there may be no time to review the situation or even to think it through.... If the mind is to emerge unscathed from the relentless struggle with the unforeseen, two qualities are indispensable: First, an intellect that, even in the darkest hour, retains some glimmerings of the inner light [commander's vision] which leads to truth; and second, the courage to follow this faint light wherever it may lead."
In the dark hour, hold fast to Jesus' word and follow wherever He may lead.
How Awesome,Wonderful,Loving and Caring is our Lord. As He showed in this chapter John 21, that he is our provider. I thank God for His goodness and Miracle Working Power. As He did then, He will do now, for He does not change. He is the same today, yesterday and forever. Just ask, believe and receive according to his will. God Bless Everyone.
I must say that it is kind that people will take such time not only to express their thoughts, but take the time to even consider a prayer. I know that someone is praying and it may be the prayers of intervention that God hears. I appreciate your prayers and also I have a promising job interview next week. God knows I need this job. If I get this it will be his work clearly. All appears to be working in my favor and I must hold fast to his word and believe that if he can care for the birdshe can/will surely take care of me. Its challenging and I understand that thoughts of doubt will enter my mind, but I am reminding myself to be strong and hold fast to my faith, for what God has for me will be given at his appointed time. Dear God you know I need you more than ever right now.
Dear Gary; Previous responses have explained John 21 so well. I also am praying for more of our Lord's light in your experience. I am convinced that an active believing, receiving, and applying of God's grace is sometimes the key to more fully experience His goodness. When one finds a Bible promise or statement intended for believers in Jesus, lets place ourselves into it, saying "I receive that for mine", reread it, placing ourself into it, thank the Master for fulfilling his promise in us personally. As for blaming ourselves; lets also receive his cleansing that has already been paid for and is available now. 1 John 1:9, Romans 8:1-2, Ephesians 6:10-18, and many more. Jesus is the light of the world and abundance of life is available in Him for receiving and applying. May our Lord's grace and peace be unto you.

Joyce, Mary, and Trent. I often think why do people post things, but its the very reason that such can be a blessings because its moments when you may not be able to talk with someone that is close or anyone at all. I am greatful to your time and words that you chose to share with me. I do believe that God can make a way...I am just unsure if he will do it for me. I had to be honest with myself and ask what seeds have I planted and this very well could be my harvest. I have not been a bad person, but I have lied, and did somethings that I am not proud of to survive. I have also attempted to make good on my wrong, but it was planted. Someone once shared with me that God can leave you right in your mess to deal with it alone. I think I am there. When we are down and out we want and expect God to rescue us, but many of us...well I had to remember the choices that I made, and now the reactions I must deal with. I am beaten, broken, but I still have breath, and although I have thought of ending it all there is something that tells me to press forward, so with that I say a prayer and each day I awake I ask God to let this be the day that the chains break and doors open for me. If he has not left me, I pray that he gives me the strength to endure and the mindset to continue on.
Garry,Satan loves to make us doubt, it's his job and he's good at it, but he's also the master of lies, don't give up, this is when you need to square your shoulders back stand up and tell him it doesn't matter what I "feel" I'm gonna trust God anyway.Lovingly Joyce.
