A call to Revival. for each of us to stir each his/her own heart up in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

God loves us more than any other ever could.

When God's favor over one's life to is absent or is diminished, then we must "strengthen those [points of character] which are as though dying away' [see Letters to

    The Churches Rev. 3]

till Jesus can testify that He finds our works to be perfect

    from a divine perspective.

Selfish pride is very destructive; through humility we practice mutual Edification as a church.

To become free from sin, self and the world, let us turn our minds and hearts to Him Who gave Himself for us and rose again.

The Lord "opens their ears in affliction" (quote from Job) as depicted in first chapter of Joel

and then we're prepared to be longsuffering, courteous.

Selfishness is not beneficial to the testimony of Christianity.

So as God does a thorough cleansing work in order to purify us as His people, may we remain fervent in love to God and to the brotherhood of Christ

    Love the Bible,

You are right. This world is not are end all. Heaven is for those who believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Hell is for those who refuse to believe His Gospel. No "in betweens"

    Hi.

Joel's theme is the "Day of the Lord."

Hopefully one call on the Lord before that day.

    We won't be here.

    God bless.

Love the Bible Gbu but all our righteousness is filthy rags in the sight of God....Its what Jesus did at Calvary that made us all clean...Remember what God told Peter what i have made clean do not call common or unclean....When Jesus said its finished that was all of the redemption man will ever need, that book was finished that he wrote with his own blood....If i be lifted up ( his blood ) i will draw ALL men unto me...That was the New Covenant in his Blood i will know them ALL from the least to the greatest.Read Jeremiah 31 :34 kjv

......This is the New Covenant in my blood drink ye all of it....But i will drink no more of the fruit of the vine till i drink it new with YOU in my FATHERS Kingdom...But Isaiah is very bold and says i was found of them that sought me not and i was made manifest unto them that asked not after me....How is this possible simply b/c he is gonna draw all men unto him b/c of the CROSS....The blood of that New COVENANT... Isaiah 65 : 1 kjv

    Ray,

Romans 11:26 tells us that all Israel shall be saved. Now, that does not mean that every single Israelite, past, present, and future is going to be saved. It means that when Christ comes (After the fullness of the Gentiles), which is a time period from Pentecost until the Rapture of the church, but when the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, there will be a Tribulation Period.

And then afterwards, when Christ comes at His second coming, those Jews who are on the earth will be saved, approximately one third of them that began the tribulation period. It says "As it is written, there shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

It goes on further in Romans 11:27, which is the fulfilment of the prophecy given to us in Isaiah 59:21 and Zechariah 12:10. All of these tell us that when Christ comes, they (the Jews) are going to look on Him whom they have pierced, and He is going to take away all of their sins. This will come at Christ's second coming. At Jesus' second coming, every Jew who is still alive on this earth will be saved!

This is the first part of the last 7 years spoken of by Daniel the Prophet and chapter 9 the last 7 years was never finished 70 * 7 years the last seven the final forgiveness for Israel thank God he left the final seven years often cause a missing week of Daniel's prophecy and this you find in the Book of Revelations chapter 11 the two witnesses they must prophesied the first half of the last 7 years before the Messianic age that is to say the thousand year reign of Christ on Earth so yes definitely relates to Revelations chapter 3 the drought Elijah has to come first John the Baptist was not Elijah he said so himself when he was asked the Bible does not teach reincarnation he was a Levi and we know his birth and his parents as it is written so yes this chapter and Joel will be when they take away the meat offering in the drink offering that's in the middle of the last 7 years then they're given a very short time to flee to the mountains like Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24 very clearly the rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ the body of Christ will take place three and a half days after the death of the two witnesses right on time in the middle of the week both last week the last seven years and the middle of the week of seven days 3 1/2 days our bodies will lie in the great City would spiritually is called Sodom in Egypt that's how bad it is at this time just before the abomination of desolation sits down Jesus said when he stands there flee to the mountains no time to get anything out of your house go do not stand still flea to the mountains Revelations chapter 12 clearly speaks she fled Into the Wilderness where she has a place prepared of God that they should feed her there that's why Joel chapter 2 verse 14 speaks to this Hallelujah bless His holy name Jesus Christ the name above every name so before you closes the door of salvation judgement day still lingering when the two witnesses are killed that's it the door shut to the age of Grace

In this chapter we see Joel is a prophet of God in the reign of King Joash some 800 years before Christ. His message is timeless pronouncing that sin brings God's judgement with a plague of locusts. In making application we see how sin devours our life just like the locust so when we choose to sin we are choosing to bring destruction our way. Today many believe their are no consequences to sin but the truth is sin always complicates and robs us of God's best for our lives. How about you? Do you see the consequences of sin? Let us learn from our text today and the words of Joel who reminds us that sin is like a locust in our life that will devour God's best for your life.

Joel is so prophetic that a spritual famine is coming of a 2000 yr duration, not a famine of bread but of hearing the Words of our lord.In Pharoahs dream he saw 14 kine coming out of the river which was prophetic of a 14 yr famine are not the 2OOO swine that Jesus sent into the river prophetic of a 2k yr spritual famine coming.Joel is describing how all the trees of the field were destroyed by worms SATANS Army ( the great abomination of desolation standing in the holy places CHURCHES ) Thus we have been n a SPRITUAL FAMINE FOR 2 K YRS.HOSEA said that after 2 days will he raise us up and on the 3 rd day shall we live in his sight, a Day is a 1000 yrs in his sight. We are at the VERY last day
  • Alex on Joel 1 - 4 years ago
Joel is sad but it is also prophetic that God is gonna pour out his spirit on all FLESH. JOEL is describing the great abomination of desolation. That y jesus said the, nite was coming when when no man can work,My God my my GOD Y HAS THOU FORSAKEN ME.The new wine has been cut off the new covenant. Jesus said the days are coming when you will desire to see 1 of the days of the son of man but you will not see them. Churches on every corner but no Jesus. How do the priest n ministers do mourn simply b/c of this time the great abomination of desolation is upon us.But Jude said earnestly content for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. In the mists of all this th Women will give birth.

Disobedience is a sin. So, why do we expect to live in sin and receive a blessing from God, If God hate sin? We are punished by parents, and the laws of the nation, when we commit sin and break the laws, so why should God not punish us when we break his laws and sin. God is love and hate sin, so why do we sin and expect God to keep loving us when we treat God like we hate Him. Sin is our enemy.

Robin: I Told Everyone that Knows me and Others what Christ Has Done in My Life and How to be Saved. Before, I Never Talked Much. Now I'm Talking to Everyone. Most Would Say Something Happened, He's Talking. But I Held on to Smoking. 1 Day The Choice was Smoke or Tell The Pastor, 1 was Saved. As I Reached for The Phone The Lord Said: You Will Never Smoke Again. My Smoking Was Going! Instantly!
  • Robin on Joel 1 - 5 years ago
Thank you for your word, Lord. I ask you to intercede for me for my smoking. I do not want to quit because I am working to earn salvation, but I want to quit to be more pleasing to your temple. I need the mental stamina to endure the addiction. I know it is trivial compared to your suffering saints my Lord. I am so ashamed. Please help me Holy Spirit. Thank you, I love you with all my heart Lord.

    The devastation of the land and people above is a circumstance most people only hear or read about; so in 2018 we remain DRUNK on ..., ..., ..., and not realizing that the above is about to happen to us, but by the time most realize it (the above) it no stopping because last week was 9-months and the law shall not change; we sowed the seed NOW the fruit / the above shall come any minute;

Yet even now, even in the midst of the trumpet blasts of the alarm of war in the heavens; even while the bowls of punishments and destruction of God's wrath being poured out; if there's even a moment until they take the mark of the beast; the place and duty of the Elect is to sound the alarm and call the congregation together, to fast and pray and seek the LORD. The armies of the enemy are coming!
  • A disciple on Joel 1 - 6 years ago
We are absolutely in a world just exactly as the Prophet Joel wrote about. On account of the centuries and generations of the Nations being held under the tyranny of the devil's wicked perversions, slanders and lies against God and against His Anointed; like the house of a drunkard, and whose ancestors and children have all been likewise devoured and desolated by debauchery; the end is upon us.
  • A disciple on Joel 1 - 6 years ago
The Apostles confirmed that these are the last days, because the Son of God has come in the flesh to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. The natural man's understanding is very much limited to his own experience and the things he can gather through his senses; and processing them within these bounds he cannot understand that time is subject to eternity, and does in no wise hinder the truth.

"That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten." So many silly shallow commentators only look at the parable as if it were about a famine of bread; and miss altogether the point that selfish lives of sin and neglect have robbed us of the knowledge of God!

"..for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God." As it was in the days of Noah before the cataclysm, the world just went on as if it would continue indefinitely. So the faithful eventually fell away: first into sloth and ignorance and lastly all the way back to the world and ungodliness: all for being ashamed before men and fear of persecution. Luke 21:12
