A lesson here is that in our affliction or trouble we should seek the face of God and not try to rationalize why we are afflicted. God is a just God and merciful and if we trust him in every situation He will bring us out victoriously.

V:1, Job considers his righteousness to be above Gods. Job = Israel. The law of God is do not kill. Job in V:8 is wicked in the eyes of God
