The Lord God is righteous and holy in everything He does. As we chose to learn more about Him, we find that God is consistent in His dealings with us.
We fall out of the favor of God because of our sinful actions. God does not leave or forsake us. His promises are sure and faithful.
We need to learn His Word, trust in His word, and walk in His word to be prosperous, blessed, and a blessing. The Lord bless and keep everyone on this forum. February 23, 2022
"And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads." From the Rulers of the Jews to those who control the churches today; having always resisted the Holy Spirit, and refused the obedience and purity of Christ's teachings; are turned away empty.
There ARE 'prophets now; ANYONE at all who speaks of Jesus to anyone, is 'prophesying' - the same way John the Baptist did. That's all he did, was speak of Jesus. There are hundreds upon hundreds of prophets today. And John was sent also to baptize, but he 'witnessed' (prophesied of why he was baptizing). A witness of Jesus is prophesying of Him.
God was angry with his people because they sinned against him. He is so angry that rain seized on the land and everybody including beast were hungry. He said even if they offer sacrifices and pray he would not hear. If they repented in those days he would have still forgive. They followed their heart and their false prophet and the word of God stood against them.
Verse 22, God created rain and the natural system of water evaporation and warm-cool air pressures that create storms. However, the gentiles have learned through science, called vanities, the methods of weather manipulation. It is possible today to seed clouds so that they create rain. Here the Lord is given the acknowledgement that the Lord can change any effort of man. Israel is suffering a drought in this chapter. It is possible that this is a man made drought. The ultimate decision of what happens with rain and drought belongs to the Lord. Israel is asking for the Lords help. If the drought is symbolic of not winning battles then Israel is asking the Lord to be under his protection during this war. But verse 10 to 12 makes it clear that the Lord does not want this war, it is occurring because Israel wandered out of their boundaries with expansionism.
Verse 14, Perhaps the Lord is saying that Israel claims to be Gods chosen people and therefore they feel they can do or say anything they want because the power of God is with them. The Lord is saying Israel can not do anything they want and claim it is the will of God. Israel is under the Lords control, not the other way around.

There are no "prophets" now. Those who claim to be prophet are nothing but a false ones. The office of prophet ceased after the Bible is completed - nothing more to be added or taken away. Now we have the pastor in place of prophet, who also say "thus saith the Lord" based on the true word of God.
This was the word concerning the prophets of that time that sinned against God. In other word this is History being shared to us, its not referring to the current Prophets though some might be found along the above mentioned lines. If God did refer this to current prophets however the introduction of Jesus has covered/canceled us, because Jesus brought new life to us.
