    Marty: Something that you may be missing is the grace of God. The men of the bible were most certainly not perfect. They were sinners, tempted just as you and I are. However, through studying their lives, we can make corrections to our own. There is nothing new under the sun and their problems are often our own problems. Through the bible you can find salvation through grace ( Eph. 2:8-10)
