    Being baptised in water in the name of Jesus, is fine if you feel that's what you need to do. But as I've heard it said,you go down a dry sinner and come up a wet one. The true conviction, and true sign of salvation is when you acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is the only thing the Father Jehova God recognize as the penalty for the sins of fallen man. Nothing else. Without Jesus, there is no hope.
