The entire Judah was taken into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar without exception. Yet, it was only a few that were willing to hold to the principles of righteousness mandated by God. This kind of dedication is not achieved over night, but is strenthened by our daily commitment to love the Lord with all our heart, soul and might. Daniel and his friends knew their God, and were willing to stay the course in spite of their environment and various influences/temptations they were faced with. I'm encouraged knowing that I can live a Godly life in an ungodly world.
