    Mark is the earliest, shortest, pithiest, most ambivalent, and least supernaturally oriented of the 3 synoptic gospels. The original Greek has verse two ending with "you say so " ', not "it is as you say ", as many newer and less accurate renderings have it. There is precisely a world of difference between the latter, which means "that 's what YOU say " and the former, which means "yes, that 's right ".
