    On watching "Easy Rider" a friend of mine commented on what a reactionary country America obviously was in the late 1960s. I could only smile: some people seem rather sweetly and naively to confuse stories with reality. Good stories help us to understand reality - in English, however, "story" and "history" are two different words.
