Verse 6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. " Jesus is the way God speaks to us. What I mean is, when God speaks to the human race, he always says I am Jesus. Yes, the Father is often mentioned, but we find no direct words attributed to him in the Scriptures. So when Jesus says that he is the way, he is saying that he is the way God speaks to us. He is also saying that he is the way God speaks the truth to us, and the way God gives us life. But most important of all, he is saying that those who try to bypass him to get to the Father will fail. God will not answer such prayers. They will find themselves talking to a false God. I am not saying that we should never talk to the Father. Yes, we should. Jesus wants us to. But this should not be in an attempt to bypass Jesus because we think he is a lesser figure. The Father is the way God makes his decisions. This makes the Father and Jesus the same God. Jesus proved this is true by saying that when we see him we see ther Father, too. There is another personality of God, the Holy Spirit. He is the way God inspires us to believe in what he is doing. Jesus loves you!
