    Dear family, IMPORTANT When Christ walked the earth, he was not called Jesus. This name is a translation, rather than Christ 's true name. You can look up the letter "J " on wikipedia and see that it was created in the 16th century! Also, as Matthew 1 21 says, 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS for he shall save his people from their sins. Therefore Christ 's name is derived from his function as the Saviour. In the Ancient Hebrew, the real name of Christ is YASHAYA my Saviour.
