In my last statement I should had given an example the meaning of these scriptures to us today. The Children of Israel were brought out of bondage through Moses, we are brought out through Jesus. The name Joshua means "the Lord is Salvation ", same as the name Jesus. The story of Joshua destroying all the wicked in the promise land is also the living prophecy of Jesus returning with His saints and destroying all wicked from the earth. So the stories of the Maccabees is the story of the world being overtaken by the antichrist,or the islams. Anti means aginst, ochus means God and Father. These stories are prophecies of what is occurring now in the world. Except it is the followers of Christ and we being denied our Christian faith and either pay tribute to live and still desecrate the temples our bodies by obeying islam and bowing to the false god allah preached by the false prophet muhammed,and Obama at the moment is the only known person with the same spirit as Antiochus. He has flattered people to sin for his gain. He has changed the laws of God causing those who follow him to sin aginst all that is Holy.
