    This I know God is for me What a remarkable statement made in the midst of intrigue betrayal and loneliness The secret of David s greatness was his complete confidence in the God who is not only mighty but merciful It is our shattered human psychology that refused to trust in the HESOD love of our Maker and Friend Even when God forgives us we cannot forgive ourselves Even after countless emblems of his grace we cannot trust that every minute he is silently planning for us in love My the same Savior who cleanses us from all sin and who baptizes us with the Holy Spirit heal all the souls diseases Psalm 103 May our theology inform our psychology so that we are finally free from fear doubt and self loathing On this day I say with David This I know for God is for me
