Galatians Chapter 2:11-14. In these verses it shows Paul's boldness and Peter's humility. Here we have Peter who was one of the twelve apostles and had been given the "keys of the kingdom." Then we have Paul who was relatively new to the faith. Peter let fear of what others may think of him keep him from doing what he knew was right. Paul recognized this and boldly reproved Peter. Peter could have taken offense, but he humbly responded to the counsel Paul gave because he knew it was what he needed. We can imitate Peter today by being mature enough when we receive counsel to look past the person giving the counsel, or even how the counsel was given, and to focus on the counsel itself. We need to seriously ask ourselves was this counsel needed and then we need to make any necessary adjustments like Peter did.
