    Ro:12:1 "By the Mercies" (2 of 2)

"Brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies"

God is qualified as the Father of all mercies. God set the firmament(Ge.1:6-7), so the water above was channelled to whomsoever it wilt. "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for theLord Jehovahis my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation./Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation."(Is.12:2-3) La.3:22-23). God sanctified the firmament by giving it a face. He called it Heaven. (Ps.19:1) Heaven declares the glory which is the glorious salvation. This interfaces with the face that we represent.("Open thy mouth"). This glory of God in whatever form is revealed is the vector of both Power and Wisdom principles in the Godhead. It is the Name or holiness of God. Thus face may be expressed with regards to the knowledge. ("the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ"-2 Co.4:6) And we have another example in Moses,( like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,:-De.34:10). "In Ge.1:28 God creating man "after our image and after our likeness: serves as the lynchpin for understanding the perfect will of God. "that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God/Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."(1 Co.2:12-15)Spiritual underpinning for "After our likeness" is in terms of comparing the fulness of God in Jesus Christ on the basis of the word. So God sends a river from heaven which shall be found in the face of the heart of man. The Spirit reveals this truth in the vision of Daniel.(12:5) Daniel stands on this side across the river of time-the river Ulai looking at the Angel of the Lord. This river of God passes through every heart formed by God which is alike. It leads unto the Re.22:1.We shall continue with the next post.
