"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
Jesus as the light of the world fulfilled the law as the light of the Lamb fulfilling it in terms of the law of Moses. We shall see from the commentary on the law. "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."(Matt.22:37-40)
These two we shall consider as the two stones Urim and Thummim that the high priest carried next to his heart. "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind./ This is the first and great commandment./And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
These stones signify Eden, the mountain of God and Zion, the stone cut not with hands. In Ez.28:13 the covering cherub covered with 10 stones. "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee." The Law consequently established the Law of sin. For this reason the red dragon in the vision is given ten horns, "and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads." The same number we see in the beast as well.(Re.12:3;13:1)
Second commandment 'love thy neighbour as thyself' was fulfilled in the death of Jesus Christ on the cross."Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."( John 15:13). Consequently "blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."(Col.4:14-17) The blood is the fulfillment of the emblem in the will of God, slain Lamb "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world./If any man have an ear, let him hear."
