    Ps.48:2 "North" (1 of 2

"The city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness./Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King."

The Spirit sets mount Zion, the stone cut not with hands on the sides of the north. It is same as the writer to the Hebrews setting the Son on the right hand of the Most High, ("sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high"-He.1:2). Ezekiel shows this context in his vision, "Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side." The waters running is what watered the the Garden on the east of Eden. It is not in reference to cardinal directions as we know the term but the coordinates in relation to the judgment. God showed young Jeremiah,"Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land./For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the Lord; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem."(Je.1:14-15;Ez.47:2) God's word has literal bearing historically as well. God sent His rod' the kingdoms of the north- Assyria, Babylon and the wave of the latter days similarly shall occur. Whether it is on the earth or in mid-air is besides my present intent and purpose.

The land of Havilah is watered by the river from Eden and it deposits most holy faith and it is what this line signifies,"And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone."(Ge.1:12) Significance of the other two bdellium and the onyx stone is associated with Jesus Christ. Bdellium is the color of amber, "And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire."(Ez.1:4)
