    Hebrews 2:14. is a interesting verse.

    "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, "HE ALSO HIMSELF LIKEWISE TOOK PART OF THE SAME;"

    (I'm not sure but in the English this looks like a conscious decision he made before he came into the world!

    If so, here's the reason for the premeditated decision.)

    "that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

    Jesus took on flesh to be our

    Kinsman redeemer. (go el)

    Hebrews 2:11-15.

    As a Kinsman Redeemer If one of your fellow Israelites becomes poor and sells some of their property, their nearest relative is to come and redeem what they have sold" ( Leviticus 25:25). By definition, a kinsman-redeemer was someone who redeemed what was lost.

    The kinsman who redeems or vindicates a relative is illustrated most clearly in the book of Ruth, where the kinsman-redeemer is Boaz.

    Jesus came in the flesh to redeem what was lost in the Garden.

    We are his brothern through our "new birth from above" but In Revelation 5:3-5 it had to be a man to open the book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. (This emphasizes a title deed.

    In Revelation 5:9the redeemed sung a new song!

    "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast REDEEMED US to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

    Blessings.

    S Spencer,

    Hey brother, I can see how that looks like Jesus made the decision Himself. In Hebrews 2:14 "he also himself likewise took part of the same". The word took is the Greek word metech means shared, share, partake of, a member of, my understanding is as the children were flesh and blood so was He. It is in line with Hebrews 2:17 "It behooved him to be made like unto his brethren".

    The word for behooved is the Greek word opheilo meaning Jesus had to be made like His brethren, legally required, obligated to pay off a valid debt, we know what that debt was and man who had no sin was who had to pay it, Jesus gave His life a ransom to rescue us from God's wrath.

    Agree with the Kinsman Redeemer that we now are considered fellow heirs, Jesus first came only for the lost sheep of Israel, Matthew 15:24. His blood was shed to pay the sin debt of those whom all will have faith in Him.

    In verse 16 maybe Jesse or Giannis can help with that verse my understanding is Jesus taketh, not hold of angels, Jesus was not to save the fallen angels but to save the seed of Abraham, man. Not sure about that.

    In Revelation 5:3-4 the word man is the Greek word oudeis means no one that could include any heavenly being or any earthly being.

    My understanding of this chapter points to how Jesus was in all ways like us but without a sinful nature which is so clear to me in verses 17-18 and the start of chapter 3 and more.

    Have a good and safe week, God bless,

    Thanks Brother Ronald.

    You Stated;

    The word took is the Greek word metech means shared, share, partake of, a member of,

    It all means the same, there's no way to turn it from the truth.

    Jesus is preexisting and partook in the decision.

    And Revelation 5:3-4 is plain and needs no helps to interpret it.

    I would have to take it for what it says.

    "And no MAN IN HEAVEN, NOR IN EARTH, NEITHER UNDER THE EARTH, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

    And I wept much, because NO MAN WAS FOUND WORTHY to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

    We have been through that portion of scripture before on whether we go to Heaven or not.

    There's no need in going in circles.

    I'm sure we will cross paths again with this topic because most of what we read centers around the deity of Christ.

    And what I mean deity is that Jesus is God.

    My view is clearly expressed and you have made yours clear.

    Let's move on and agree to disagree again.

    God bless.
