"And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty."
Colours presented as with the garments of the High Priest are for glory and beauty. Fulness of Christ as the High Priest of our profession denotes the beauty of holiness of God. "O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth." (Ps.96:9). The colours of the earth owe to the optics of the physical eye and it only tells in part. The heavens also declare the glory of God that has its own beauty. The two worlds framed by the word of God has colors as made to appear. So while we study the garments of Aaron this unseen glory and beauty must be understood as intrinsic quality of God a Spirit. For example God is the Father of lights while the Son is the true Light which are tucked in the double fold and are called Urim and Thummim. These were stones of divination under the Law of Moses but it points to Christ the Judge.
Jesus Christ served as "the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." This speaks of his humanity and what God commands Moses is a shadow of good things to come.
v.16 : Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof." The 12 stones serve as the foundations of the holy city of God, "And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb."(Re.21:14) Christ is the foundation on which the city is built. The Light of the Lamb that lay hidden behind the breastplate of Aaron's garment is in full flow in the new heaven and new earth! It is in keeping with the narrative mode of Inversion.
"And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually."(28:30)
