    Matt.24:29 "Ordinances of heaven"

"And the powers of the heavens shall be shaken"

Jesus declared also "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."(24:35) Fulness of Jesus Christ is established by his word. So we shall see that he came to the world as the Word made flesh, and it shall apply to the heaven and the earth as well. He came to fulfil the law.(Matt.5:17)

In the light above let us examine the covering of the tabernacle. Ex.26:7-14. "And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers' skins."

Compare this with the vision of St John: "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;/And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind./And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.(Re.6:12-14)

The sun became as sackcloth of hair and the moon became as blood. The badger skins and ram's skins dyed red are indicated and it underscored the the pure speech of the Spirit "For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven."(Ps.119:89) Symbolism of covering shall stand the test, "The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."(Ps.12:6)

The imagery of heaven departing as a scroll also fits perfectly considering the design of the tabernacle, specification of materials, mode of construction and the appurtenances thereof are intended for mobility. "And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:"(Ex.40:36)

He "that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in" gives us in the tabernacle a foretaste of the shadow of good things to come.
