    Ex.25:9 "The pattern"

Inn the coming posts we shall place the pattern specified in the Book in terms of the everlasting covenant the Spirit has set forth in the first chapter of the Book of Genesis. If one reads carefully the ch.40 of the Exodus with Ge.Ch.1 we have for instance this verse "And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters."(1:6) It is rounded off with this refrain, "and it was so."(v.7) Moses stands as the double for the Son. "Thus did Moses: according to all that the Lord commanded him, so did he."(40:16,19,21,23,25,27,29,32)

The tabernacle is about a body, God descending onto the mercy seat sets Up and Down direction; the space flowing through court and internal divisions also have significance. Up and Down and Across created the blessing on the people very tangible. Thus seven days in sequential order confer on the man because of his faith. That is Up and Down. Internally the vegetation as feed for the life forms set the blessings flow Across. In terms of man created in our image sets Up and Down; 'After our likeness' flows across so God commands man, 'Replenish the earth.'

Second point is about the body. It is Person specific. "But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year./For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins./Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me."(He.10:3-5). This body has a volume so heaven and the earth are designated as new heaven and the new earth. (Re.21:1-3)

How the body is created forms the third point. Free will offering. "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering."(Ex.25:2). Tabernacle of God in eternity are saints,"Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
