In order to understand the volume of man, Ch. 38 of the Book of Job shall help us. The same division of the two worlds framed by the word of God sets man having a body and spirit within which the Word serves as a seed which as part of the inner man is unseen. By fruits one shall know and it is what works would mean. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."(Matt.7:17-20)
God challenges Job so we shall examine what are boundaries of our world made to appear as well as what is seen or the fruits thereof. Blessedness of the tree planted by the waters has a volume (Ps.1:3) Our study on Job can help us from wandering off course by keeping focus on the tree planted by God.
"Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding." These foundations are unseen and as many pillars God has set up for the House that Wisdom built (Pr.9:1) shall be seen. So there is an order in keeping with holiness of God. These foundations are the seven days in the everlasting covenant. The House with seven pillars are intended to last everlasting and as the people's convent and we have this testimony saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."(Re.21:3). This is marked eternity. Our own makeup where Christ dwells in us by faith consequently must hold a working relationship. St Paul's prayer makes it clear, "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;/That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,/May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;"(Ep.3:16-20) The indwelling Spirit is grow into the fulness of God. It is how we set our inner man the sign for the word of God working in us.
