    Ex.15:1 "The Song of Moses" (1of 2)

"The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him."(v.2)

Who taught Moses this song which is compared to the Song of the Lamb? "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb." They are martyrs "that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God."(Re.15:2) This is a new song which is associated with the first fruits in the previous chapter. "and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:/And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth." (14:2) They sang it as it were a new song which would have been sung earlier and the usage 'as it were' refers to the song of salvation of which we have the song of Moses for an example.

The children of Israel also sings with Moses so the song was composed in heaven and the day decreed for the Son has passed as part of the repertoire of the blessed in the Man. No man could have sung it but in whom God breathed and created man as living soul. The conclusion is clear: soul is where it is embedded. So when the Psalmist says, "Thy statutes have been my songs In the house of my pilgrimage. I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law. This I had, because I kept thy precepts." (Ps.119:54-56). Only those who have kept the word and are led by the Spirit of God can be counted among the 144,000. 12x12x1000 are not merely a number but the habitation of God. Moses who is setting out to the Promised Land makes it clear," I will prepare him an habitation." None of those who set out with him hover will not make it save two. They had another spirit. (Nu.14:22-24)
