Holy angels are in the know of the Word and are witnesses to man whether man admits it or not. It is the Father who made it possible. "And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace." The same at Jericho .(vv.3-5) The Spirit presents us the sons of the prophet and the holy angels which supplied their foreknowledge. We have the word of Jesus commending St Peter, "Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." (Matt.16:17)
Coming back to the talents the servant with one talent relied his own rational faculties and life experience, He saw God in the manner his world about him taught, "that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed."(v.24) Obviously he had no appreciation for the seed sown in his heart. What were established as holy in the kingdom of God was cut out from his knowledge, which was after the traditions of men. He would not work with the world of the Spirit so the glorious body prepared for him was hidden from him. This is what outer darkness signified. It was from dust to dust and ashes to ashes. The rich man in the Parable of Lazarus belonged his class. His burial is different with Lazarus who "and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
