    can you lose your slavation
  • Koosees - In Reply - 1 year ago
Forgot to mention Finis Dake, they got some old clips of him on YouTube. Audio recording with assorted Bible questions. The Bible he really teaches is not hard. Check him out, you will as I learn that it is not a complicated book. Once you do, you be in the Bible understanding scriptures like it was intended to be. Won't need commentary after, just a dictionary once in a while. God Bless again Brother.

You most certainly can, otherwise we could live a life of sin and go to Heaven. But it ain't the case, we got to cut the sin out. Grace from God in Prayer through Jesus Christ our Salvation and the Holy Spirit. When a Christian commits a sin, he/she trangesses the law. When we ask for forgiveness of our sins, We Pray to God Our Father, anything you ask Him ask in my Name Jesus said. So anytime we pray, we have to ask in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And the Holy Spirit.

When someone sins, they say without saying to GOD that they don't have faith in Him. When God says He will lead a way of escape, not giving you too much you can't handle. And we can do all things through Christ, we just got to do our part and RESIST the temptations of the devil and he will flee.

    Romans 6:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

But like the Prodigal son or the lost sheep. If you do sin, repent and go forth and sin no more. Grace and Salvation will always be there for those who want it. So ya, you can lose your salvation, which is to be saved from sin. When one is in sin, they like I said above ask God in prayer for forgiveness...

We just got to keep away from the sin business as a Pastor once said. If you stumble, get up, keep on striving.

I encourage you to look up a fella who since passed away. His name Finis Dake, we got to get rid of that idea that the Bible is hard to understand. Basic Bible teaching, made me realize English is a peculiar language. God Bless and Keep on striving, being Christlike in anything you do.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Some say you can, others say you can't. What are your thoughts?

    Parker770:

    What is salvation?

    What are you SAVED from?

    Your saved from DEATH.

How are you SAVED from DEATH?

You were a JOINT HEIR with Christ at his RESURRECTION.

Only ONE BODY was raised at his resurrection.

You became the body of Christ, no longer having a heart of stone, but Christ gave you his heart, no longer a carnal mind, Christ gave you his mind.

Your carnal mind is DESTROYED by constantly repeating the scriptures that affirm the WORKS of his resurrection.

John 17:22 And the GLORY that thou gavest me; I HAVE GIVEN THEM, that they may be ONE as we are ONE.

Isaiah 59:21 As for me (the Father), this is my covenant with them (his creation, by the works of the cross of Christ), the words that I (the Father) have put in your (Christ's) mouth, SHALL NOT depart out of your (Christ's) mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy SEED (being resurrected as joint heirs with Christ), nor out of the mouth of thy SEED'S SEED, henceforth and forever.

The wages of SIN (unbelief) is DEATH.

The gift of BELIEF is eternal LIFE.

1 Timothy 6:16 Christ ONLY hath IMMORTALITY, dwelling in the light......

John 17:22 .... that they may be ONE, as we are ONE.

God BLESS YOU as LIGHT replaces DARKNESS!

The wages of sin = Death and everlasting torment in hell.

Salvation is a very important question, and should be of the utmost importance in every Christians life.

Don't trust your salvation to anyone. There is "no shortcut" or "free ticket" to salvation! Read the bible for yourself, and learn to pray directly to God thru his Son Jesus Christ, and IF you are sincere, you will learn the answer to your salvation question from God himself.

I can point out a very important verse regarding losing salvation:

    Hebrews 10:26

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

    Learn to Fear God.

Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding."

    Learn to Love God.

John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

In summary, Become obedient to God, Repent from sin, Fear God, Love God, read your bible and pray, and you will be doing well.
