    Ze.3:1 (2 of 2)

    Joshua the High Priest

even theLordthat hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee." In v.4 we have the change in circumstance. "and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee."

Also the following verses are set down in context of the advent of the Son, 'the branch.'"for, behold, I will bring forth my servant theBranch." In His first advent he came as Servant-King. Now Joshua in the vision stands in context of the temple the House of Prayer for all nations. The saints redeemed from the earth through great tribulations shall be as priests and kings unto God. "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,/And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father."(Re.1:5-6)

For meditation:"though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."(Is.1:18)
