    God's plans for the nations

When examining the nations after the flood and during the failed attempt to build the tower of Babel everyone spoke one language until God Himself confused it (see Genesis 10:7-9). This was associated with the geographic breaking of the continents it would appear; or perhaps there was passage along the Alaskan peninsula when it was still covered with ice to allow Asiatic peoples to cross over. There have been people that seem to treace to Egypt as well who were mentioned a few generations ahead of Eber; and it is surmised some may have come over on ships. Genesis 10:25 states

"One was named Peleg, because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan." (these were the sons of Eber). The general spiritual understanding of most cultures holds on to an original concept of God and stories of a worldwide flood are universal throughout the continents. These are known as the "Epic of Gilgamesh" in the Mideast; and with different characters of 8 persons in the Chinese legends; for example. Hebrew has been said to be traced perhaps to the original language; I find it interesting that some of the characters appear to be pictures and some are letters. The eastern languages tended to have pictorial representations; but there are many complex variations in the Americas among a plethora of different Indian nations. Stories also are universal describing races of giants; which match up with the many giants before and after the flood in scripture ( Gen. 6:4); see also Numbers 13:33 And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim).

Proverbs 23:10 states "Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless". Another word for landmark is "boundary stones." Deuteronomy 32:8 states: "When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel."

First off not sure what a DBR is.

Your first question is rather complex. I don't ascribe to not following the law at least in terms of universal ones such as murder and divorce (one which is immensly controversial today in terms of remarriage situations but I hold for NOT remarrying when a spouse is alive which got John the Baptist killed for pagans in that situation). Anyway I may have lost your attention at that comment. I look to ceremonial laws as applying to the Jews at the time or possibly the future Temple; and the sabbath day law in some respect goes to Christ who is "Lord of the Sabbath". We don't attempt to do or not do the law only but we do things with the right motives. My point being we can't just say it's ok to break a law; as the Antichrist himself comes as the "lawless one". We can't have overly legalistic standards either. I am not sure what you mean relying on "His will" that should be something we do now or in O.T. times; and peace is something which we should receive at salvation and also is a fruit of the Spirit (love; joy; peace; longsuffering; etc.)

As to His coming; I have theories basically stating that we need to face that 1948 is NOT the beginning of the last generation which is defined roughly by Psalm 90:10 and i cant see it stretched beyond the 70 to 80 years. I think the Psalm 83 event where Israel expands its borders and immediately surrounding nations capitulate will happen as the signpost of the last generation then there has to be a land of unwalled villages before the Ezekiel 38 war. That timing is tricky. All things are set for the Tribulation but it seems only God the Father determines it as we also seem to see from my commentary on Revelation 1.

I sense your enthusiasm and perhaps struggle and your love for Christ. As Jesus said to the Philadelphia church persevere even with little strength as it is hard today. Satan wants to constantly preempt God's timing but obviously we must occupy till he comes. Outta room

Always enjoy reading your lessons of history Mr. Priday. I've been reading & learning more on how we are to live according to, (a servant of Jesus Christ, by the will of God according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, not of men, nor by man (but by commandment of God/Jesus Christ/God the Father separated unto the gospel of God-through the will of God) Pauls' epistles. 2 Qs: from what I read, beings we no longer follow old testament laws & are 'spiritually' baptized if we believe & except His DBR from the heart (in sincerity) putting on the Armour of God. 1. Doesn't this mean we now live by faith, walking in Gods grace .. Relying only on 'His will' to get us through our daily struggles & wanting us to spread the truth of Jesus & eventually having His peace that passes ALL understanding? 2. Do you believe we are 'finally' living in end times, like in the next 7-10 years? I know the very next prophecy to come it pass is the 'rapture' (as some call it) as well as the order of things to come before, during & after.! I pray I'm stronger then Peter first was.! Already have His peace & I do believe this to be so yet would be nice to hear anothers wise (er) insight.! No hurry & thanks for your time.
