Must we be baptized? Can we enter into the kingdom on just faith alone?
  • Alex1939 - In Reply - 2 years ago
Alex1939...Yes Aldenapoli...Faith is the result of his seed his words Thus a spiritual pregnancy results which is the Child of Promise the H.G. the kingdom we hope for..Thats y he has to know us then when we have the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen...A spiritual pregnancy...Thats y Jesus is saying that which is born of the spirit is spirit which is the H.G. our new innerman...A kingdom Child ...Unless you receive the Kingdom as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in..

.....Even in the natural when a woman is pregnant she has the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen...Her fetus is evidence she has known the Bridegroom...Even tho no body can see it yet...But she knows it without a doubt....Thats faith ok lemme go...

I respectfully disagree with Jesse's answer. The Bible is clear on salvation. One must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. John 3:16. It is by faith Ephesians 2:8. The question was asked how to be saved.. answered in Acts 16:30 ."Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved". Every Word of God is true.in Mark. 16:16 it says "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned". It does not say if you don't believe and are not baptizedyou shall be. Damned only that if you don't believe. Another proof that there is no need for baptism to be saved is that when Jesus was on the cross the thief said to Jesus in Luke 23:42. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise." So clearly the thief was not baptized prior to his death and it was his belief alone that saved him. It is not of any works.lest any man boast. You don't have to go to church.keep the commandmentsnor be baptized . There's no amount of works or anything you can do to save yourself. It is the free gift of God. All these things are good .. but we all fall short.. and the reason God sent Jesus. Ephesians 2:8. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. It is easy to be saved that is why even a small child can be saved.

Alex1939...Ellix2u I agree with you some what...But we have to birth the Child which is the H.G. that Child of Promise.. but when the book ( that New Covenant ) is opened...We will all travail in birth pains...As Jeremiah saw all men in travail and birth pains Jeremiah 30:6...Its gonna happen automatically after tHE BOOK IS OPENED...We answer to the woman in Rev 12:10 that is giving birth to the Children of the Kingdom which are spirits An Israel of God which is the H.G. God is gonna pour out of his spirit on ALL FLESH...We dont have anything to do with it as our carnal minds is the very ENEMY of God..

.....This New Covenant is different then the O.C...Thats y Romans 8:5 is telling us ...While we were yet sinners Christ died for ALL of us...Its not according to the O.C... Jeremiah 31:34...God Almighty gave us this N.C. Saying I will KNOW them ALL from the least to the greatest...If I be lifted up I will draw ALL MEN UNTO ME...When he took the cup he said this is the New Covenant in my blood drink ye all of it...Which took place on Calvary...I was found of them that sought me not and made manifest unto them that asked not after me...What a Covenant, I kiss you my son Jesus...Its all his doings...But there is a Child involved b/c of his seed the words of the book....Ya gotta realize he has to KNOW US..We can only birth this Child via his seed the living word the contents of the book that he wrote with his own blood that N.C...Remember that tree of KNOWLEDGE.

.....That which is Perfect is yet to come on the 3 rd day...I will be perfected on the 3 rd day...Outta of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou has PERFECTED PRAISE...Unless you receive this Kingdom OF God as a lil Child you will in NO WISE ENTER THERE. IN... Isaiah 11:9....Knowledge is gonna cover the earth as the waters cover the seas...I will know (knowledge an intimacy ) them all from the least to the greatest...Thus the Woman giving birth to the Children...The babes and sucklings our new heart n new spirit.

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Believing seals you with the Holy Spirit

    Ephesians 1:13

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

And to address Jessie's point about the devil believing that is different from the faith we have in believing that Jesus died, was buried and rose again for the remission of our sins. Their belief is not a salvation belief.

    James 2:19

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."

There are MANY clear verses that salvation is by faith aloneJesus paid it ALL even after we are saved we will still sin until we die from this flesh. And that is why we are to be as little children.it is easy to be saved even a small child can be saved.

    Hello Ellix2u.

The prodigal son went back home at the end, as we know from the known parable. But if he had not go back home he would had eventually died away from his father's house, he would had been left out.

    Ellix2u,

It it okay to respectfully disagree. Reading through your comment, I agree with almost everything you are saying. But do you realize that I am not talking about water baptism?

I agree that we are not saved by works. But is believing alone enough for salvation? I think believing is an important part of salvation, but what about acting upon that belief and surrendering one's life to Jesus Christ and being born of His Spirit?

I notice you did not mention those things. The demons also believe, but will they be saved?

When I said it was Jesus' ministry to baptize people with His Spirit, it had nothing to do with water baptism. Jesus baptizes people with His Spirit. Unless a person receives Christ, and is born from above (Spiritual birth from above), that person cannot be saved.

You have my attention: can you please elaborate on what you mean by "You don't have to go to church.keep the commandments-nor be baptized"

I understand the not going to church part, but not keeping His commandments, nor being baptized?

And again, I am referring to Spiritual baptism, not water.

    Aldenapoli,

Jesus' ministry was and is to baptize people with His Spirit. That is the baptism that is needed.
