Is there a difference between "made" and "create" in the Bible; specifically pertaining to God? I've long been accustomed to thinking God creates with His mind, but the word "made" is used quite often

I went through Genesis 1-2 and circled the words of what God was doing at that time: moulded, formed, etc. The rib God took from Adam (he closed Adam up) and made the woman. I was told that in Hebrew, the word WOMAN, means, MAN with a womb.

If you look at male vs female skeletons, you'll see that mens pelvis's are narrower, their legs are double boned-females having single bones, and the bones of the females pelvis, open in childbearing, so the infant can pass through her body.

It's really interesting. God made us perfect. That's why I don't believe God made mistakes as the transsexual say. If you think of the structural differences: leg bones, one less rib, a skeleton that opens during labor.

It's just my observance. I read pretty much everything, look at pictures. It's cool.

This site has an Exhaustive Concordance included. It's a breakdown of this English translation from the documents used for original translation. It even says the words origination like "Hebrew". When you're on a scripture like Genesis 1:1, 'created' you can tap the scripture verse it'll bring you to another page. At the bottom of that page it has words broken down. Hover over or click the word "created". You'll see the word: bara', meaning (absolutely) to create, with other short definitions, click the red like into Strongs Concordance, you'll also see the meaning "to shape"

Genesis 1:16, "made" = asah, definition; 1. to do or make, in the broadest sense and widest application, further down "to bring to come to pass"

Also Genesis 1:26,27, "make" and "created"

Even Genesis 2:7, "formed" =yatsar, = to mould into a form

These are great tools, when we want to study deeper into scripture.

    Hopefully you'll find these helpful

    Dear brother/sister

Its the Holly Spirit that "makes" or creates " things. God (both The Father and The Son) always make things through His HS. He (HS) is the person who executes the will, the commands of God. As a man uses his hands to make something, God uses His Spirit, that's why in the Bible, especially in OT, the HS is often called the hand or arm of God.

Jesus in His earthly life performed miracles and casted out demons by the Spirit of God. The Apostles too, we too. Its always the HS

One Eighty Gods word says what it means and means what it says so create and made in action are different. To create is to

speak something into existance which never existed before. To make something is to produce with what is already in existance

i.e. a potter with clay and water, when a plant is grown you have seed soil water and air. Only God can create.

Ok. So, God creates by speaking this something into existence which never existed. And obviously when one speaks, the source of their words are the mind. And when God made or makes, it is out of something He previously created into existence. And create and made in action are different. Makes sense. Would you say that though the action be different, the outcome would be the same due to their common purpose, which is "God's will be done."? What I'm perceiving from this then is the words have the same meaning, due to their common purpose. And also, the only difference being God cannot make anything until He creates it.

    Thanks for your input.

    Into a Three Sixty?

Thank you for the scripture references.

Regarding "into a three-sixty?" I try to keep an open mind to correction and what is truth. Truth though must be true throughout if it be true. It cannot contradict itself nor be in some parts uncertain and others sure. It is unalterable, eternal, and unambiguous. It can be unrecognized, but cannot be changed.
