I am definately a bit sensitive if I think some one is leaning a bit towards astrology but of course the Bible does use the sun and moon metaphorically . I think the first time is in Genesis with Joseph's dream of the sun and moon and twelve stars , if I remember , Jacob interprets them to mean Joseph's mother , he himself Jacob and Joseph's brethren . Interesting to note that the european union chose twelve stars as the symbol on its flag and more than once we hear of the stars falling , just a thought . God also promises that the sun and moon will not be needed in His Kingdom . Saturday is named after the god Saturn. Pagans worship the planets as gods along with the sun. But the sun and planets are part of God's creation and our physical universe. Romans 1 says that we are not to worship the creation but the creator. So, since we do worship the one true God, it is good to worship Him every day, no matter what name people come up with to name the days of the week. I have never thought of a pagan god when saying the names of the week.

We are to worship, follow, and honor God every day. First century Christians met on the first day of the week which I believe is Sunday. This custom has continued until today, but it is good to gather and worship anytime. Jesus was resurrected on Monday and some believe this is the Lord's Day. I noticed you tried to discredit Sunday by referring to a pagan name, but not Saturday even though the same smear tactic could be applied. For me, pagans don't own the days, don't own the names, and have no power, just like they don't own Christmas and won't prevent me from celebrating Christ's birth, and just how sodomites don't own the rainbow, which God made and means God's promise, not the sin that some cults and loud bullies associate with it.
Amen you seem to be very knowledgeable about the Bible i like to share this with you and see what you think in psalm 19:1-6 The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth his handywork 2 Day unto day uttereth speech and night unto night sheweth knowledge 3 There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. IN them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun. I have wondered what was they saying and led me to this the sun is a ambassador of the son of God Jesus because without the physical sun the world will die and all life on it without Jesus the son of God all will die. The Heavens declare the Glory of God in V 1 , then in V 4 in them ( the heavens ) hath he set a tabernacle for the sun . I'm not comfortable asigning astronomical symbolism to God and Jesus . Some people believe that the Bible does that occasionally , that's fine but I don't think that it's for us to do so . It's a bit too close to astrology for my liking .
