was John the baptist Elijah reincarnated ?
  • Jim - In Reply - 2 years ago
    No.

John the Baptist would have been That Prophet had Judah recieved Christ but they rejected him.

John the Baptist was like the famous Elijah because he was a fore runner to get Israel baptized to prepare to receive their King and the Redemption out from the devil's dominion.

He was a son of a Temple Servant: A Levite, but never served the temple, he was not A team material in the tribe like Elijah.

    He Never served the Temple.

    Malachi chapter 3:1

" Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple,"

Isaiah chapter 66 v 1 has some very rhetorical questions of Where God Dwells.

Today's Temple is in you. God was in Christ reconciling Himself to the world and Colossians 1:27 states that to the Born Again, it is " Christ in You".

The new temple Christ will build in 3 days AFTER the existing remains/ foundations are WASTED, is where God will Dwell with His People: The Bride of Christ.

The Bride are the leadership like in the wilderness: levites. Virgins because they did not worship other gods.

We are members of the Body of Christ, where God Dwells Now.

The Bride's outreach is to those who are in the resurrection of the just; the Children who are taught in dreamy sweet Tabetnacles like David's was.

They need to confess and believe too to 'brand-up' with eternal life because it was not accessible to them before they died.

The refining begins by establishing leadership.

The temple to serve today is Not the Bride, it is the Body of Christ.

Elijah to come has holy spirit, is born again and it is Christ who has commissioned him.

When Christ comes to his temple, he comes to the Body of Christ whom Elijah is counted among.

    Jim,

There is no indication Christ destroys what was built in by the beast. Watch anti-christ built it in 3 days. It seems Jesus keeps the temple Antichrist built, to the exact measurements according to Ezekiel. That's not to say it couldn't be demolished at 7th trumpet, and Christ makes another one. It may not have been important enough to explain in detail.

Reincarnation is Eastern occult beliefs. If the word isn't in the Bible; it is not truth. Use the Search Box to verify words.

They were talking of the Spirit of Elijah.

John was mortal. He was first called: one crying in the wilderness (a prophesy). Put that in the Search Box.

Know what the penalty is for being an astrologer?

DEATH SENTENCE. It opens a door for the demons.

    Acts 19:19

Astrology is the use of Planets to divine events by.

Biblical Astronomy neglects the use of planets for Signs and Seasons.

The lunar month is biblical in respect to events as is the sun.

The Rosh or head of every month according to scripture is not Astrology in any way.

The Rosh is the first observed crescent moon as seen from Jerusalem.

There is more, in fact the scriptures we have are frequented with celestial references because before the Written Word in script, it was and still is up there in the creation. It was once a mysyery (now often obfuscated in errors in traditions and religions) but the first Unveiling of Christ was to Adam who needed Hope. Genesis 3:15 and the Hope of a born redeemer is the summary of much that could never fill volumes of books, once recorded for posterity by Ham and Shem in their Hope-centric post flood cultures.

    His star is Sirius.

It Proceeds at sunrise every day and moves westward until it sets for 70 days to re-emerge.

Look at it in a telescope. The Acceptable year was the year Sirius rose before the sun did and appeared beet red.

That is what Daniel taught in captivity to the astronomical observers whose offspring watched diligently for the promised sign.

Sirius's annual helical rise was the New Year on the Nile. They looked too for a kinsman redeemer, a King and Shepherd with a crook and Was staff.

The Was staff is an astronomical tool to determine the Celestial Meridian with a plumb bob. A year based on the helical rise of Sirius is 365.25 days long. Still is.

When The new year was observed it was the Jubilee up and down the nile. When Jesus read from Isaiah, he was declaring that the acceptable year ( Sirius bloomed) was his. In Revelation 22, he declares that he is the Morning Star, Not a planet. The Alpha and Omega reference requires more ink to teach but it has to do with celestial time and this present and last processional cycle of earth history the end of which is framed in the last celestial age/step Matt 24: 3

I enjoy star gazing when there's something to look at, like Blood Moons, etc.

There is too much need, to minister the Word of God to those who have questions; which I was called to do in 1985. I had a salvation experience like Paul. One minute "killing Christians" with Astrology, and then seeing the Lord in front of me. He folded the room back, and I saw His eyes. One day serving the devil; next day, adopted into Gods family. He forgives us perfectly.

Who is on this earth is of greater importance than filling my head with weighty details of space. Someday we'll be where we can see it up close. We can see Jesus lifted up high in our praise and worship. 'Adore' is a little word, to describe emotion as huge as space seems-in Jesus. He made everything we see, and He can fold it over like a page in a book and show the other side.

We serve a very mighty God. Wonders we've never imagined. We can be as close to Him as we dare to. His blood is so holy! On the Cross his blood fell on the earth and redeemed it. I used to garden a lot, and the Holy Spirit would show these truths. I have heard the sound of Jesus's laugh. There is no other sound to compare with. He rejoices with us, in our accomplishments__like a daddy would over his toddlers attempts to pull up and stand alone.

If you seek-you will find. He doesn't put limitations on our love, adoration and exploration. We're all different because he desired it as so. So why do we not accept ourselves as the perfection He called to be?

People we deem imperfect, ugly, (and other adjectives):

In Heaven we will be in resurrection bodies, unique and perfect. In our spirits we know this to be true.

Stars and planets pale, in comparison. He made those stars and planets. Each one unique. He gave us telescopes :) to look at them now.

Evangelize people whose vision is dimmed because they are not in Christ yet. Hurry and get them in Christ NOW.

Not much time left. Forget politics, technology.

"In Heaven we will be in resurrection bodies, unique and perfect. In our spirits we know this to be true."

Not me. My holy spirit does Not confirm your big fat claim. It doesn't need to because scripture denounces such fluff. I don't need a bit of extra revelation when God's Word covers it, okay? It sounds nice and all, especially the recognition part where you are like Paul but it don't fit sound doctrine.

Our bodies as Sons of God are RAISED NOT resurrected should we fall asleep before his gathering.

The Raised are Not the Resurrected that is sound doctrine for right believing.

As for the myth that Elijah is one of the two witnesses to hook up with some other dude - it is not happening.

The Body is Not the Bride. Neither Elijah or John served the temple which today is the Body of Christ.

Elijah is Born Again and will not be subject to be Ressurected. Those Resurrected are the Just who will live again by faith in bodies that can confess Jesus as Lord which means they do not have holy spirit now, they need to brand-up when it is made available. That means they have no holy spirit to confirm anything until they have holy spirit.

    Jim,

Revelation 10, that's Elijah taking office, before the day of the Lord.

Yes John the Baptist was Elijah reincarnated. When one of the disciples questioned Jesus about him coming before Elijah, Jesus told him that Elijah has already come. And also he said that Elijah would come before the end, which means he's coming back once again. Anyone who believes differently is calling our Christ a liar and is the Anti-Christ.

Someone said something about pagans Celebrating Christmas is PAGAN along with all the other fake man made up holidays!

    Kenneth,

In Matthew 11:14, when Jesus was speaking about John the Baptist, Jesus said that John the Baptist was Elijah who was to come. Jesus is referring to Malachi 4:5 that tells us that Elijah will come before Messiah comes, and Elijah will be the forerunner to the Messiah.

However, we have a problem here because in John Chapter 1, when the leadership sent people out to ask John, "Are you the Messiah?" John said, "No!" "Are you the prophet?" which by the way is also a term for the Messiah. Again, John said no. "Are you Elijah?" He said no again.

So he is John the Baptist, but he is not Elijah. But Jesus said this is Elijah who was to come. So either John didn't know who he was, or he was confused or something? Even in Matthew Chapter 17 in the Transfiguration, when they came down off the hill, the disciples understood what Jesus said about John the Baptist, that John the Baptist was Elijah. But John said he isn't.

So was he Elijah or not? The answer to that is found in Luke 1:17, when the angel came to announce to Zacharias that his wife Elizabeth was going to give birth, which would be John the Baptist. And he said that he (John) will come in the spirit and power of the Elijah, the "spirit and power" of Elijah. John the Baptist is going to have the same ministry as Elijah. He is not going to be Elijah personally, but he has the same ministry as Elijah.

Therefore, that settles our dilemma about John. He says no, I'm not Elijah, I'm John. However, the Spirit's anointing upon him was that he came in the spirit and power of Elijah. The same spirit that had anointed Elijah was the same spirit that anointed John.

    Hope this helps!

    Kenneth:

Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE BODY, and ONE SPIRIT ....

Ephesians 4:6 ONE GOD, and FATHER OF ALL .....

Every man has his being in this ONE SPIRIT, although most haven't come to this TRUTH, YET

    Spirit is Life and Truth.

John was not the reincarnation of Elijah, but did the WORKS OF GOD through this One Spirit, this One Power, just as Elijah did; John came in the Spirit of Elijah, but that Spirit is God.

You have you being in this One Spirit, and when this One Spirit wants you to do something, you also will be like Elijah and John and everyone else BORN OF TRUTH.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (Spirit) that worketh IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO his pleasure.

John the Baptist came in the power and Spirit of Elijah, but he was not Elijah.

    Dear Kenneth,

John was conceived a new human being, not a reincarnation.

    Reincarnation is a pagan belief.
