    While the prophet Jeremiah addressed the Jewish nation of his own day, the prophecies and warnings are every bit as relevant to the Christian nations today. We are grafted into the tree, and therefore we, as a people, must have the same spiritual environment to thrive as did the Israelites. If we choose to turn away from the righteous God that establishes His people, we will most certainly face the same consequences.
