1 John 3:9

In reading
1John 3:9
we need to define "sin".
Sin is NOT referring to our physical failings.
Instead, it's transgression of the law,
1John 3:4
.
But we're NOT under the law,
Rom 8:2
,
Rom 10:4
,
Gal 5:18
. Hence believers CANNOT be charged with this sin.
Sin is unrighteousness,
1John 5:17
.
But a believer's faith is counted for righteousness,
Rom 4:5
. Hence we CANNOT be charged with this sin.
Sin is unbelief in Jesus,
John 16:9
.
Believers CANNOT be charged with this sin.
So, as believers, we CANNOT sin.
"Amen!"
