An addendum to earlier statement...all things eventually lead to the consummation in Revelation. There is certainly a link as to the "hook in the jaw" that drags in the nations to secure wealth in Israel in the last days. It could be assumed that they will become a "land without walls" after the 1st seal but I tend to think that war may be some time before that event. If the Psalm 83 war occurs first it likely will be after this event in the news has progressed. Eventually; Israel will have to feel secure against the Palestinians and other surrounding threats and if they regain more territory for themselves and there is a league to secure the natural gas and other resources that the gulf states seem to be heading towards that could start getting them to let their guard down. There isn't a logical answer to the 7 years of cleanup after the Gog/Magog war unless it is after the Tribulation going 7 years into the Millenium or it is well before. It can't be during the Tribulation Israel will not be employed to clean up but be in exile. At any rate, when Antichrist comes he must come with the 10 nation or world REGIONAL group of kings who rule with him "one hour" or the Tribulation hour. It will be truly a global government at that time; and local currencies likely will temporarily go to a gold standard until the mark comes when "gold and silver are cast into the streets." Russia, China and India still have a large amount of investments in gold; although of the 3 India has gone the most toward cashless society; and China is doing the most spying on its citizens. The one world religion has to be set up first as you know as well.

I am just saying this to avoid the danger of national pride over love of Christ. There is danger on both sides in the church with politics today-I'll leave it at that. All nations will face God's judgment soon; may God have mercy on us as judgment for innocent blood is overdue

May we all be "wise as serpents; innocent as doves."

Ezekiel 38:1-7 This is what's happening here:

vs 1-3 God despises Gog (Russia) for various reasons, like selling his birthright to Jacob.

vs 4 God will keep Gog down, contained, put hooks in his jaws, until the end of days, when God brings Gog forth against Israel.

vs 17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

vs 5-6 Iran, Ethiopia, Libya and more invading from all sides at the day of the Lord.

vs 7 Russia will protect its allies at all costs.

God has His watchman on the walls. When a lot of them speak the same things it gets exciting. It's an encouragement for everyone.

I've been speaking about politics, some, for a while. Last week the Lord kinda re-routed my focus. More prayer and I have to break in a Bible I bought last fall. I'm going to miss the one held together with tape and glue.

Dear Michael: Whenever a mindset of politics and culture dominate our thinking; we are easily skewed into what seems right as patriotic citizens. There seems to be increasing awareness of some nowadays that as they used to say it is "both sides of the same coin" when it comes to which side we vote for at least in this country. Some seem blissfully unaware that there is only a handful of corporate entities responsible for the majority of media today. Even more important than this; is how the Christian entertainment industry (and yes this has swallowed up the whole identities of certain megachurches I'd rather not mention directly here) have abandoned sound doctrine for a sappy sort of lovey dovey Christ; largely of their own imaginations. These prosperity ministries and associated music groups seem to have lacked the privilege of suffering any persecution; loss of property (heaven forbid INTELLECTUAL property rights); or in general been anything besides a friend of the world. No wonder Christ said to the Laodiceans that they were poor; blind; miserable; wretched and naked in their true spiritual condition under the veneer of self assurance and pride. There are movements afoot by a well known persona to somehow declare the O.T. as being antiquated somehow. We are saved by grace; but not supposed to live like hell. I don't know any other way to describe it. Repentance seems to be missed as to an element of saving faith; yet according to Ephesians and elsewhere God grants it to us; and there must be "fruit meet of repentance." Therefore the faith of John 3:16 isn't "decisional regeneration" but God electing to make us part of the beloved. If we love Him; we obey His commandments. The Spirit is the only way we can do this anyway; with His residence in our souls. Hatred seems to not be understood as David stated in the Psalms; we are to hate the sin and love the sinner. All this self assurance is nonsense to those truly Born again who have died to self.

Hello Carleton. Hope to hear more from you. Are you doing o.k.? I know some people are much more busy than I am, being retired. But we want to check up on each other to be sure that things are going well, and if not, how we can pray for one another.

Hello GIGI, I am ok enough. I envy the retirement time! After working durning the day my eye after first surgery just does not want to read or write much. A second surgery is coming soon and hopefully I will be better then. After the surgery our family is planning a trip your way to the Olympic Peninsula area for a wedding. I hope you and family are well! God bless your faithfulness and kindness.

I understand how one's eyes can be strained after a long day. I hope your next surgery goes well. The Olympic Peninsula is very beautiful with so many valleys and mountains to explore and just vie for its beauty. We are not far from this area (southeast of it).

We hope to re-locate to the Sequim area within the next few years, the Lord willing. We are looking for property to purchase so we can build a new scaled down home.

Good evening GiGI, It has been a nice day considering world events. Had a little part this morning at Church on thoughts of the Comforter. The Peace of the Comforter is a good peace even while in trials and tribulations. It is Sequim that we are heading for the wedding. Our 20 year old daughter is one of the bridesmaids. The father of the bride was my best man. Both he, his wife new to the area of Sequim and myself joined the Mennonite faith around 30 years ago. My wife has generation after generation of Mennonite background. Ever since this family moved there I have been also thinking of the area as a place to possibly live. I hope you and your husband find just the right property!

Thank you Richard , I enjoy your thought provoking posts . I especially like that your mind is open and you don't try to tell me for definate what's going to happen . It feels more like a conversation than a lecture with you . I have to be honest , I'm very excited by what is going on .My heart goes out to those poor Ukrainians but I try to remember that Gods eyes are there and He can see everything . Did you know that Moscow is on the same longitude as Jerusalem ? Putin has a few allies in the middle East and I'm sure all this has been meticulously planned with China eyeing up all of the south east for itself . Putin want northern Europe . We all know who the enemies of Israel are , and these three are all quite friendly with each other , suprise suprise . It's hard for me to contain my excitement ! I think I need to pray daily for the peace of Jerusalem , which is of course the return of Christ and for God's continuing mercies to be upon all flesh . I also feel the need to talk more about this to my loved ones who don't believe . It breaks my heart honestly . I already know that none of them are even slightly interested as I've tried before and they all just look at me as if to say : oh , I didn't realise that Suzanne is a bit crazy . Christ is coming ! I'm so happy excited overwhelmed and I've never felt such peace . I'm totally calm and unafraid . Nothing in this life can touch my joy . It's hard keeping it all in , I feel as if there is an enormous flock of sparrows singing in my heart !

Several points. My first would be that in my last post; I am in no way condoning things that I suppose I can't specifically mention without being flagged as to what is going on in Russia in particular. It would be nice if we would acknowledge things we have done such as not taking in Jews during World War Two; destabilizing governments; etc. Same for our accusers as well. A big danger in WW2 were those sympathizers (Ukraine and elsewhere) who were at times those primarily responsible for rounding up Jews to their death. There is still in these countries a lot of Neo Nazi sympathizers. To hear about the history from a leader of a nation that has existed for over 1000 years and who has some intellectual acuity in understanding foreign affairs is rare these days; thus I have paid attention to Putin; and also read from some alternative news sources what's going on in Syria and other nations. I realize that either mainline or alternative sources may be skewed with political agendas; but usually some strands of truth come out.

The second thing is that we all must primarily be focused on the gospel; and in turn through His love be able to show unconditional "agape" towards our enemies. The most important thing is not our freedom; although many don't appreciate our blessings. That gets me into the third point. I am going to categorically state that the last generation must not have started in 1948 if that prophecy partially fulfilled in Christ's generation still is meant for the future. Psalm 90:10 takes us to 2029 already which is 81 years. My basic theory is that for ALL nations along with Israel to prosper; the Psalm 83 conflict must come; where Israel takes much more of it's promised land; secures its borders and or eliminates the Palestinian issue; perhaps the Isaiah 17 Damascus prophecy must come to pass; and it becomes a land of unwalled villages allowing for Ezekiel 38 to come to pass as conditions predict.

Nebuchadnezzar fulfilled Isaiah 17 in Assyria, 616 BC. No mater how hard the US and ISIS tried, they couldn't topple Syria. It was the little horn, Daniel 7:8 Russia, that saved Syria from America.

The unwalled villages are the 3 nations anti-christ plucks after his "evil thought", Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish.

Israel gets land expansion when Christ comes, not before. Look up the "greater Israel project" to see that Israel used the US to carve a buffer zone between Israel and its enemies. Nothing good is coming Israel's way for a long time. Israel will soon have their hands full with captivity, again Joel 3:1
