Where is it written that the day will come the you won't know one season from another only by the budding of the trees

I don't think it does, Matt 16:2He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

3And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times. Rev Talks about the moon be darken or maybe it's the sun'

The sun doesn't rotate around the earth at an exact 24 hrs that's why they have a leap year but who knows if it corrects it exactly or not so over time the season could change. I do remember something about the seasons tho maybe in Thessalonians 1 or 2

    Hi Charles,

My understanding is that the earth rotates on its axis producing the effect of day and night as a point on the earth will be facing the sun for day and not during the night as the earth rotates. The earth also orbits the sun. It takes a little more than 365 days for this orbit to be completed. We have a leap year every four years to account for the extra accumulated minutes over the four years.

(BEGIN QUOTE) From got questions. orgs website:

This question is usually framed something like this: "Does the Bible say that in the last days, you will not be able to know the seasons except by the changing of the leaves?"

We had been asked this question many times and had done extensive research into its origin, but had never been able to find the source of the idea.

Recently, someone helped us find the origin of the concept. Evidently, it comes from the "3 Days of Darkness" prophecy of Padre Pio, a Roman Catholic priest. The exact quote appears to be, "You will know when that time is approaching because the seasons will change so the only way you will know the seasons is by the leaves on the trees." (END QUOTE)

I used to Believe that also until recently when I looked for it and could not find it in the Bible. I did find Genesis 8:22.

I think the scripture you're referring to is: (but it's not written that way). Matthew 24:32, in context: Matthew 24:3-51, Luke 21:29-30, in context: Luke 21:1-36, Mark 13:28, in context Mark 13, chapter.

    Hopefully this is helpful.
