I wish everyone look through 20-40 pages of Past Room History and count how many comments were about: Sabbath, Water Baptism or dates of Jesus's birth or death;
There are a lot of end time events happening today. They coincide with events in Daniel, some minor prophets, what Jesus, Peter, Paul, John the Beloved spoke of.
Israel is barely 10 miles wide. Joggers can run it forward and back every day; if not for tunnels, drones, snipers, etc. Things the Jews dig up almost every day. Do we pray for their wonder and excitement to find that maybe Jesus is/was their Messiah? The Palestinians are searching for the Mahdi to be revealed? They hemorrhage on YouTube every day, which group is going to fight another group and then March on Israel.
These are (wars and rumors of wars). We'd do well to keep an ear to the ground. Tracking earthquakes, disasters, financial shifting, are other SIGNS.
We are admonished to watch and pray, be looking up; be ready (10 virgins) AND TO SPOT THE SIGN: the Temple Built, and a world leader sitting on the Throne of David.THE ABOMINATION of DESOLATION.
Take Syria. Word says they will be totally destroyed to the ground. China and Russia may use the restored Silk Road for trade, ship oil or troops.
There are so many other inspiring stories in the Bible. Like when Nehemiah rebuilt the walls. Those things parallel to Intercessory Prayer; watch towers; spiritual warfare. I always try to make sure I keep my eye on Jesus who is interceding for the Saints. Do we truly Love Him well?
Feed My Sheep. John 21:14-22
Jesus is asking all of us that same question.
I say this with great humility and soberness: Jesus says, feed my sheep; carry my lambs in you arms of prayers. Lift up the fallen. The body of Christ is separated from the Head. Let's get connected. Anything we do for self__is FLESH.
If I offended anyone, I'm not going to stroke any egos (including mine). Lift up Jesus.
You know, I was thinking about that this afternoon how the questions that come up seem to repeat around some recurring ideas. I don't think that is good or bad. It is just what happens in an organic forum like this.
My thoughts this afternoon was that perhaps the site admin could scoop up all the posts on these recurring themes and put them in some "folder" on the topic that does not get deleted so people can read the discussions over time, not just the last 72 hours as it is on the topics pages.
That way, we can refer folks to the extensive conversations without needing to repeat what has been posted before.
I hear what you are saying about end gimes. We should be aware and watchful, being ready for our Lord. However, when I read the epistle letters, the emphasis is more on doctrine and how we are to live in community than info on end times.
So I thin balance is in order, we are ready and watchful, but also about the task of building one another up in the most holy faith, supporting and equipping evangelists and those who are to share the gospel as a living, raising our families up in the fear and admonition of the Lord, and living a quiet, godly life in this wicked generation.
Then I see you dear, in peace that there may be some in here who are stubborn and have their own thoughts, and may not want to tell if they go away from their statements or hold on to them. In this way, it can increase the confusion over God's word instead of giving peace. And will not repent from the hard black to the white and the Light. Or what do you think?
Thanks for the post. We all should approach the Word with a humble heart. We all should speak the word with humility , knowing we are frail humans. And we should all present our viewpoints with humility, being willing to change it if one finds a convincing argument that reveals error in one's thinking.
But at the same time we are to
Hold fast to the faith that was once and for all handed down to the church. So, for me, it is important to study and know what this faith (body of doctrines) is. That is why I study orthodox beliefs and then study what has been considered error and heresy. That way
I become wise to the deception of the enemy as I hold every teaching up to the Word of God.
Hi dear friend in Jesus. Ty for ur post. So wonderfull it is with faith. Then also how different we are. I have for some time ago fond good memories from ppl who is from Orthodox church. I still have.
So when we search for faith and proff, we find blessed Paul who taught the ppl about Jesus. All the way too Rome in Italy. :) and blessed Paul.
For me it is not a different dear Gigi. You belive that Jesus is God Son, me too. Differences come with cultures and different ppl. Human fear and abuse of power unfortunately. Power hungry ppl and delusions.
We belive that Jesus is God Son.
For it has always been so. The church has had great power always right?
I think is right to stay there we are 'born'. Its there we can work with dayly task, like pray, love each other. give suport and mm.
Please understand me right. I'm not saying now that more charismatic church is preferable. In front of another. Becouse we are all humans.
I try too say that all of us need only One. That's Jesus Christ. He shall have all honor and all praise. And the church will demand for it self.
Then we have all the diffrences again.
I think you're a strong person Who has started too understand orthodoxy. I also want to learn more. But I have to say, they're Christians With something extra. I hope non take this Personal. I take comfort in the watering down the ranks of Christians. From Israel too all over the world! Thats a bitt.
But the Spirit is the same. There's no changing shadow in Him.
God bless u and Go ahead and read in the name of Jesus he finishes what He has begun. One way or the other. Please take care in the word. So u dont get confused. Love u all in Christ.
I was not saying that I belong to the Orthodox denomination.
I was talking about beliefs and doctrine that he church has seemed "orthodox" or correct over the centuries.
I understand that not everyone sees value in that, but I have been part of congregations that are traditional and some that have been charismatic or "Pentecostal".
So, I am not as "narrow" as most people on here may think.
I have studied the tenets of a broad range of denominations
And my lead from the Spirit is to remain within "orthodox" teaching (as I have defined it) and listen to those who may speak things that differ from these teachings. I take everything to the Word and pray for guidance. I realize that on this particular forum I am somewhat of an anomaly in this way. But I do think that m voice here is helpful in that I may say things people have never heard before or say things that make people think and search to test what is said.
Thanks for your response to me. I appreciate the input.
