Pryor to 1611;How did people around the world find out What God wanted them to know(Written on paper)?

Stuart T Lyons, back then the bible traveled by preachers and word of mouth for the most part. The books of the bible were there but were not in print on a massive scale like they are today. Churches were there back then. You have to remember the Bible was first printed in 1454. So the bible was out there by 1611.

Thank you for replying, however, the bible,Gods word was not already out there by 1611,except maby to the non-english speaking inhabitants(The bible was translated in to English in 1611,so that you or me could understand it);God has blessed me to see the original manuscript(me seeing it through a glass case) and guarded by the Popes guards in Rome,Italy in 1978.

Hi stuart The same thing that has made God known since the beginning of time his spoken word made known and passed down from people who believe. Before there was the written word by Gods grace there was always the spoken word made known by men of God throughout time then by the greatest example of gods love and manifested power and glory Jesus christ who in mark 16:15 gave the great commission and he said unto them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Same in the book of Acts they went everywhere preaching and teaching the word.

Rick, good post. I do not think that many people realize the important, powerful, effective work of the Word spoken for someone to hear it. In Romans 10:17 Paul says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. This does not exclude "hearing" the Word of God by reading, but I think there is something spiritually effective about hearing the Scriptures spoken. I don't mean this in any superstitious way, but to encourage believers to practice reading the Word out loud to one another, one reads out loud, the other listens only, then they switch roles. This is easy to practice using Psalms where one person reads one line, pause, and the other person reads the next. They trade roles back and forth until the whole psalm is completed. Do this in a quiet, peaceful environment is helpful.

I hear that loud and clear sis in the book of acts go stand speak to the people the words of this life, also somewhere in the old testament God says his word never goes out void or none effective.
