Hi Kimberly , the names at the begining of each verse are the names of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet . You may also notice that each verse is divided into eight sentences . There may be some significance to that but I don't know what it is , I'm guessing only the writer knows for absolute certain. Enjoy .
The focus of Psalm 119 is the supernatural power of the Bible. When we read the Bible and study the Bible and most of all apply the Bible its supernatural power flows into our lives. The Bible is modern day spinach! ... Psalm 119 verse 1 says, "How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord.
You can Google the scripture+verse in google; type meaning, after that. It will translate those names from the Hebrew or Greek.
Beautiful observation. Psalm 119 has each letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
Each letter has symbolic, graphic, and literal meanings. It is a very rich language with very deep meanings. Search Hebrewforchristians to get deeper insight into the pictographic language.
